Tru dat. Not typical shallow and cliche plot. This one is more realistic, not all women will get married with the first bf. I can't see FL as gold digger here, she even refused to go shopping using SML's card. She insisted to have her own business in order to support her family. She always refused SML from beginning but he was too persistent and made effort to help her mom in the village that changed her opinion if he was sincere.
I cried when ML said he didn't want to miss another chance to be with her that he wouldn't act cowardly anymore.

Writer wanted to show there's no body is perfect and to be with the right one there's a detour to take which is being naive, making mistake and wrong decision, etc. Those are lessons to learn from life to grow.
As I said if FL had angel role never making mistake, the story line would be boring just like other others.

The character development here is so good. I watched til ep 42 last night and indeed the ending is differenr from the novel.
ML's endurance is so crazy, he's not like SML that's doing everything to impress her by showing off and mocking ML with money but I can understand why FL got together with him because he made effort coming to the village when her mom was sick even in beginning she found him annoying and wasn't impressed with his childish behaviour in pursuing her.
I am on episode 36 and still don't understand how FL's character has been so misunderstood reading some of these…
I agree. I don't understand why so many negative comments about FL. It's a nice role, the FL is so naive indeed but the story that writer wanted to tell is about how people make mistake, heal and grow to be better. It's so human rather than a mainstream angel character that's really so boring.
I love Professor's character with his unconditional love to FL and it's so heartbreaking when he's hurt because FL is manipulated by Hua Hua's selfishness so afraid of hurting her bestie's feeling and losing their friendship, she thinks that if they are together it would bring happiness. But what's meant to be in our lives will make ways to come back, even I have feeling the ending won't be the same as the novel.
