As a thriller/mystery fan, I want to love this, but I’m bored to tears and just as confused as Botpleng.🥀…
Muenmile is whom I'm here for! 😄 But they low-key got me shipping him with Book. 😅

Same with me. Let's return for another episode and see if we'll stick around?
Awesome then! I'm actually watching this for Boun. I keep following him from series to series for whatever reason. 🤣 I guess the confusion is what they wanted us to feel after the first episode and it was certainly achieved. It'd keep us hunger for more where the mystery is concerned.

Title Melody of Secrets Spoiler
I’m definitely sticking with Melody of Secrets even though the first episode didn’t quite click for me yet…
"He's a living poem with missing stanzas."

I love this! I was just told that his name translates to melody, song, or musical piece and then I recall the title of the show, the violin, and was like "Oh!" 🤣 It's yet to resonate with me, too, but Boun is in this, so I'll be back for second servings next week.

I agree with this theory. I knew immediately that Pheem was going to be a covert psychopath the minute I saw how…
Yes, Pheem immediately rubbed me the wrong way, but he's "hot", so he gets away with it. Yes, exactly! It do happen all the time.

Yes, I agree with everything you said! 😄

Kay's brother?? Who is that??
Before they fixed the cast, they mistakenly put Kay's older brother name instead of his.

The first episode was... I need to let it marinate a bit more before I could give a proper assessment. The mystery and intrigue is there, but it didn't resonate with me (as yet).

Mile looks like a man who plays guitar softly, but could also ruin your life if you ask nicely. He seems too possessive of Pleng, as if he secretly harbors a crush on Pleng. With Tankhun back in the picture, Mile is going all out for blood.

The story just hasn't plucked the right string yet to make the room vibrate. That's just my first take. I know others are going to feel different, so I look forward to reading your comments. 😄

After just two episodes, this is what I see the "triangle" as: a one-sided attraction wrapped in timing and politeness.

- Pheem looks at Jira the way someone looks at a possibility they’re trying not to scare away.

- Jira's reaction towards Pheem are mild. He doesn't light up like New Year's night fireworks.

- But when Koh enters the frame? Jira's entire frequency shifts and his world is off balance. Pheem's facade that he craftily built is going to collapse. He will become the manipulative friend and thirst monster.

So the dynamic becomes:

Pheem → Jira
(genuine? interest, quiet yearning, maybe even a little possessive)

Jira → Pheem
(kindness without spark, gratitude without desire)

Jira → Koh
(confusion, fascination, creative ignition, emotional chaos)

The person who wants Jira isn't the one who wakes his soul up. There's a soft sensuality lurking about somewhere in there.

When Jira finally comes to know about Koh and Pheem's friendship, it's going to get even messier. Pheem is going to try his hardest to win against Koh; he has that quiet panic of someone who realizes they’re losing a race they didn’t know they were running.

This triangle is going to hurt someone, and the fuse has already been lit.

THANK YOU, EVERYONE for your kind accomodations! I'll try my best to not have runaway thoughts next episode or if I do, I'll try to shorten them even more before posting. 😄

Koh's t-shirt this episode: Do whatever you want no one care about you.

Koh's black and white wardrobe says a lot about him: he doesn't want to stand out. His wardrobe is doing its own monologue, narrating the things he refuses to say out loud. Black and white on him doesn't necessarily feels like a fashion statement, it's more like a camouflage.

Color demands attention and Jira sees him in color; the drawing is the giveaway. It's like switching on a lamp in a dim room. A drawing is intimate in a way dialogue never is. You have to look and Jira sees the shape of Koh's existence. His creativity had been dormant, curled up like a hibernating creature. Then Koh walks in—still damp from a bath, still carrying that worn-down dignity—and suddenly Jira’s hand remembers how to move.

It's not lust per se, but art requires fixation and Jira's attention is fixed all right! 👀

Jira sees the color that was probably snuffed out from Koh's life for I refuse to believe that Koh was born a demon. 😂🤪 If Koh thinks he's dull and unremarkable, Jira thinks he's a whole gallery. And when someone sees you in color, you can't hide behind black and white anymore.

Koh's backstory is going to be delicious. In the meantime, I'll enjoy Jira's warm palettes bringing him to life.

No one is not going to convince me that Pheem isn't a "psychopath" playing mind games at a chess competition.

Case #1: He built the company with Koh so he knows EXACTLY what was coming: the inevitable layoffs. Yet, this sly fox continues to play innocent in the eyes of the people, especially with his friend Mawin. That compliment that he gave Koh? It doesn't sound like admiration to me. It’s the kind of line a chess player gives his knight before sending it into the battlefield. Friendly on the surface. Icy underneath.

And telling Mawin? That’s classic plausible deniability. If Mawin spreads the news for him, then Pheem’s image remains stainless. No blood on his hands. Just a conveniently timed “concerned friend.”

Case #2: In the moment leading up to that kiss, Pheem is already 3 emotional moves ahead, and Jira is just catching up to the first one. That kiss feels calculated - like Pheem is testing a hypothesis he’s quietly constructed about Jira’s heart. There's just something unsettling and eerie in that lead up. The kiss is not about affection; it’s about positioning. It's not romantic, it's strategy wrapped in gentleness.

Much later on, it's going to become: “I know Koh fascinates you. I know you’re drawn elsewhere. Let me leave a mark that complicates things for you.”

There’s control layered under the tenderness: His eyes doesn't soften - they calculate.

There’s motive hiding under the warmth: His posture doesn't waver; it anchors.

There’s possession stitched under the charm: His voice doesn't trembles, it lures.

Pheem isn’t reacting to Jira… he’s handling him.

Pheem manages perceptions while his so-call bestie enforces consequences.

Unbelievable! Ain't no better than Koh. At this point, Pheem and Koh deserves each other. 🤣

Disclaimer: don't read too much into this. I had thoughts and it wouldn't go away, so I had to write them down. I don't care what anyone says, Dew is out here KILLING it as Pheem. 👏

Everyone, just a heads up. I have many things that I want to say, but they're quite loooonnnng. Basically, they're character studies and I know it's not the interesting part of any show, but I tend to let my mind wander and well, sometimes it comes up with the most silliest or grandest of things. I'll try to keep it at a minimum, but I apologize in advance for the lengthy summaries.

I don't have a blog and I don't know where to put my thoughts and seeing this is where we discuss the show, I thought I'd just rant here. Thank you.

Koh is such an enigma. He's a rich cold capitalist, but he can't even enjoy the "fruits of his labour". Not even his money can solve his insomnia, paranoid behavior, his reliances on substances or his social anxiety. It seems like he's suffering (and that's why later on, Jira appears angel-like to him because Jira is going to be his saving grace I guess).

Like they say, what goes around comes around and karma's a ...

I can't wait to see what Koh and Pheem's interactions are like. They look really close and Pheem is Koh's confidant, so it's about to get interesting. Also, I look forward to Mawin's interraction with Pheem. i think this is the first time I'm seeing AJ in a serious role other than being the chaotic comedic relief.

Did Koh stutter, though?!
