Also part of me really wish that there will be a 2nd season, but at the same time, I wish there won't be :) The drama is awesome, just the way it is now and I prefer to feel that way than crying that they ruined it.

Before drama aired I had the same issue :D how they'll play all those jokes about it. In th novel (as far as I remember) she is sth around 160 and ML around 180cm and this nickname makes much more sense :D

As far as I remember, in the novel, she's 19 and he's 28. I think in China to get merried you need to be 21.

I might overthink that, but I thought it's connected with FL's nick in the game: Smiling. So not really falling for a smile, but ML falling for FL.

I believe the scheme here is more about Cheng relationship with his mum and brother than really with Pope ;) But then again, I saw only four episodes, so my assumptions are based on novel, not sure how much they'll change those dynamics for drama. E.g. Tong Yao's replationship with her parents is bit different between novel and drama.

Oh, so there's another level of the scheme here :) Not sure how much of spoilers you'd like to see/read, so I'll just say this - that's gonna be fun :D

Not sure what this 'threat' was about, as I didn't see those episodes yet, but in novel there is a lot of history between Pope & Cheng. Cheng joined Pope's Korean team as a trainee and become as good as Pope (if not better). Both of them plays the same position, so there is a lot of rivaly between them, but I suppose we can call them friends as well.

I did some digging and I'm wondering if this really will be aired any time soon... It's kind of worrisome that the last post on the official Weibo site is from Nov '20 and since then it's really silent. I've also read somewhere that there were some controversies around this drama that they're romanticise esport, though I'm not sure how much of it have any real impact and how much of the wait time is e.g. censorship in China. It's literally the first CDrama that I'm waiting for :)

I've finished binge-reading the novel and I really hope that they'll soon confirm the air date as from the trailer it looks very promising.

There is only one thing I'm a bit worried about... in the novel, a huge part of jokes are around that there is a big difference in height between FL and the boys, even in the trailer they joke about it, but it kind of looked silly, because there is not that much of a difference between the actors -_-'

Some random thoughts after watching 12 episodes:
- not sure where exactly, but I read that ML is destined to be with FL and 2ML is for the audience. In this drama, I think we have a perfect example of it. Although my heart is with Seojun, my brain says that Soho is a much better fit for JG.
- I've started this drama because I needed an escape and I was expecting this to be silly, funny, and with a lot of cheese on top. Of course, they delivered that :D but I'm also pleasantly surprised that we have a bit more than that as well :)
- Also I really wish that the final couple will be Seojun and Soho :D especially after the last episode, they proved that they're perfect for each other :D (I'm well aware that it isn't BL, but dreaming is still nice :D)

No, only read the manga and watched the anime. I don't think it's on the internet yet. Maybe on Japanese sites, but I don't know Japanese -_-'
That's the worst part of being a JDrama fan... the access to those is so limited, comparing to K or CDramas...

If they'll stick with the concept from manga, then no. 'Harem' in Hana Yori Dango (or in other adaptations) were created before the FL shows, here they create it because of her. Plus this manga has an almost pure reverse-harem trope and in HYD it was a love triangle at most. I can share more, but I don't want to spoil it that much :)

Right now I'm in ep. 3 and so far I can confirm that their technique is really good, but they're messing styles in tournaments... e.g. they were supposed to do relay-race 4x200 (they have Olympic pool and should swim each style. Apologies, I have no idea how it's called professionally in English :) ) but they messed with the order of styles and at the end, the final person only swam in freestyle.... I think, I'm overanalysing it :D
