Female Lawyer Park has found out that WS had lied to her in order to break up with her. She's his enemy now.
Park: “How dare you dump me like that?” ‘I heard you were running for office.” “That’s a pipe dream. It won’t happen, because I’ll be working for your opponent.”

She walks off angrily and idiotic WS wonders why when they had broken up amicably. (Well it’s because he had lied, duh!)

It's amazing that someone who is simple-minded and quite a fool, like WS gets away with cheating. It's probably his simple mind that also gets him to do stupid things like run for politics when he's not 'clean'.

The side story of Bro Jin Ho's wife gives us another bit of irony. She's suspicious that hubby is spending money on women in a hotel but Jin Ho is innocent of physically cheating, although his eyes wander and he may be cheating in his mind! He's so full of admiration for WS because WS cheats so often without getting caught and he loves to hear WS's stories of how he cheated. So Jin Ho is not exactly a good guy either., but he's innocent while his wife suspects him, whereas WS is guilty as sin and his wife does not suspect him.

The added irony is that YJ is so sharp in other ways. She's got 20-20 vision and is sensitive to smells, but she cannot catch WS out although he'd been cheating so often and for some time, at least 4 times a week!!!

Meanwhile, Woo Sung goes to the University to give a lecture and almost runs over a pretty student, Mi Rae. Later Mi Rae helps him find his way to the lecture hall. However because he's attracted to her, he avoids her like the plague.

The irony of him running away from her when she was trying to return his pen will come back to bite him, because in order to return the pen to him (given by his wife!) she would have to come into closer contact with him in the future.

The cards have been arranged for the whole card house to fall on WS. Great writing set up!

EPISODE 2 (Pt 4)
Soo Ho gets the job to be Assistant to the difficult YJ.

She displays amazing powers of deduction when she pegs him as a stalker of some kind (very close to the truth since he's got pictures of her and has been watching her). She can see that his clothes and watch are expensive and she can smell that his shampoo and soap are luxury brands.

He only gets the job because as an ex-Special Forces guy and someone who'd worked in a Detective Agency before, he could give her pointers on killing people. She still does not trust him though and he will not tell her if he'd killed anyone before. They will make an interesting twosome to watch as they interact.

Police Officer Jang is interesting because he has some connection to SJ. SJ had wanted her manager to contact Jang if anything happened to her. Later we see that Jang is sad about SJ's death. But we are not yet given any backstory as to their relationship.

We find out that SJ is upset that a commenter on her work was not convinced by the stabbing scene in her book. She stabs WS with a prop knife and is also upset that he's not shocked at all.

She asks him if there is someone he wants to get rid of and he thinks of Soo Jung.
Wifey offers to kill the person for him to gain some information. YJ iss totally amoral. She says: “I think I need some experience.”

She had taken out the Disclaimer because she’d been inspired to write her next novel entitled: “Cheat on Me if You Can”. But even after this, she does not yet settle to write.

We assume at this stage that she is telling the truth and has not killed anyone yet, therefore although she was with SJ in the cafe, she had not gone on to kill her.

EPISODE 2 (Pt 3)

He, always warm and smiling, her always cold and poker-face." - My thought is that he does not have much self-respect when her attitude towards him shows that she looks down on him, and yet he goes to get that Disclaimer of Physical Rights notarised to forfeit his life to her. She is intrigued enough by this to agree to date him, I imagine and marries him because she has the right to kill him if he cheated on her.

So the next question is: why does he do these contradictory things? Is it just a great thrill to him to promise to be faithful but to cheat and not get caught? He's so terrified of being found out, but he is determined to cheat nevertheless.

We cannot really believe that he loves Seo Joo all that much that he is willing to die, because he's prepared to cheat on her from the beginning. He's so well prepared to cheat and not be caught. So why does he marry her?

Yes, sad to say, Soo Jung will sort of disappear from the current time. Maybe we'll get flashbacks with her in them.

EPISODE 1 (Part 1/2?)
An Observation
The ease with which WS was able to get rid of Lawyer Park made him think he could do the same with Soo Jung. What he didn’t know was that SJ had a thing against his wife YJ and that the affair with him probably meant more to her in the area of revenge or something similar, hence she would not let go of WS so easily.

Ahjumma, Yeom Jin Ok, Housekeeper and long-time nanny/maid of Kang Yeo Joo

She's an interesting character who is easy to forget. She's someone in the background, but she's present. More importantly, she's someone with influence over Kang Yeo Joo, which is a very rare thing.

I have given Ahjumma a comment thread in case I want to add more to my thoughts on her.
The reason she interests me is that she's the kind who is often side-stepped but is possibly very important, and because of something she observed/said.

In Ep 1 (part 1) Ahjumma watched the interview between Woo Sung and Soo Jung and says that Soo Jung reminds her of the woman who seduced her husband. So it occurs to me that Ahjumma may also be someone who won't mind Soo Jung being gotten rid of in some way or other.

Later on Ahjumma also warns YJ to be careful and not trust WS too much because WS might cheat on her. YJ said that she had to trust him since she shared a room with him. These little instances makes me think that Ahjumma is sharper than she appears.

Much later (can't recall the episode) Ahjumma also turns up unexpectedly back in the house at night. She claimed that she forgot to hang out the laundry and that it would stink if she waited overnight. However, something about her behaviour suggests that she had another agenda in returning to the house.

I just realised that his Bro, the paralegal who ends up working for him, is the same guy he is helping to run the Goshiwon. Bro Jin Ho calls him a casanova already at this stage when they were still studying in law school.

In the end Bro and WS are more like a married couple themselves... so devoted to each other and without any secrets between them!!

Woo Sung: Bumbling, not entirely bright and seemingly unassuming is also surprisingly the kind of guy who uses his looks and charm to get women. What we seem to see is that he is prepared to lie to get the girl... he met his future wife at a goshiwon where he told her a tall tale that a murder had been committed in one of the rooms there. She was taken in by his story.

This, it later seems, will be the pattern. He will tell her some tale or other, and she either believes him or suspects him to be doing something else or something not as wicked as what he actually did.

One-hour episodes with an indication that Part 2 would be coming up soon.

Before EPISODE 2, I had to watch again EPISODE 1 ... I'd forgotten that it started with Woo Sung wanting to get his wife murdered. Then we start properly, 3 months before that day.

It seems that we are watching him on the last day or so that he cheated on his wife. At this stage we do not know yet why he decides to stop. But later we find out that he wants to enter politics and so must appear to be 'clean'.

Or are these comments only between the 2 of us since I no longer see the other comments?
