Review Get Karl! Oh Soo Jung Spoiler
I've just watched Episode 1. The set-up of the characters and the situation that will be spun around on it's head from Episode 2 onwards was very thoroughly done. We have a pretty good idea of what kind of selfish and desperate person Soo Jung is and has become respectively, because in the early 2000s, society still made it imperative to get married and she's getting past the age to start a family (as her blind date bluntly put it).

We find the arrogant SJ has been thwarted in her expectations, where men were concerned, as instead of herself, her girlfriends got married. She had planned her life around marrying a man who would earn a good salary, but found herself alone and having to earn her own money. However she did manage to become a jewelry designer. She will find it easer to design jewelry than to design her own love life, but she's obviously going to try!

We want to see if the mild-mannered, docile Go Man Soo can stand up to the feisty 'gold-digger'.

On episode 2, I completely forgot the husband have an affair with:The lawyer... then the journalist!! Ah, I'm…
Woo Sung and IRONY - if not for his cheating, WS would not have been so scared of his wife, or feeling so guilty that he could not even spare Mi Rae a minute to get the pen back from her. Because of this, instead of avoiding Mi Rae, he gets even more involved with her and Yeo Joo becomes aware of her, when Mi Rae returns the pen. Everything with Mi Rae could have been avoided, and he would not have been beaten up, and the ending we get would not have happened, if only he'd stopped when Mi Rae called him to return the pen to him.

It’s a bit mind boggling that the time between being on good terms with YJ while still carrying on his affairs…
In Episode 2 (Pt 3) YJ meets Soo Ho whom she pegs as a stalker because he's everywhere she is (and she's right! But he does it for work and not because he wants to stalk her) she still hires him as her assistant because his info on killing is useful.

However, at this stage of the story, she already has guessed or believes that he's working for the NIS, because his reflexes were so good, he could catch the egg thrown at her (In Episode 1) in his hand without it breaking. This explains why she gives him the work to do that she does. Some of the times she wanted him out of the house. She knew that he could find out who sent her the burnt wedding invitation.

That also explains why she brought SH with her to the meeting with her step-mother. She probably wanted more protection and she knew the step-mother would have a whole lot of guards or henchmen around her.

At the end of the series, SH gives her an invitation to go somewhere with him, making a proposition. She paused to think but rejected him. It would be interesting to know if a little later, she would take him up on it, since he would make a far more useful partner than her husband.

Kang Yeo Joo, the most interesting character but so little is revealed about her. She's the most at ease with Ahjumma…
It’s a bit mind boggling that the time between being on good terms with YJ while still carrying on his affairs with at least 2 other women, and Woo Sung being beaten up and then hiring people to kill YJ was only 3 months.

They had been married for some 5 years more or less if they married as soon as WS proposed and YJ accepted. She had at first rejected him because she guessed that he’d been gifted his expensive handcrafted shoes by another woman. That should have been a red flag for her, but in the end she had chosen to marry him. So for all her great deductive skills, for all her arrogance, and despite looking down upon others as less clever than herself, YJ was not smart enough to avoid marrying the kind of man who would think nothing of cheating her and lying constantly.

Because of her uppity attitude, it becomes rather ridiculous that she’s so totally taken in by him (for 5 years?), never catching him completely in the lie and protesting that he has eyes only for her. Even her own suspicions did not convince her. Ironically she believed that the Disclaimer that he’d signed was enough to keep him in check, whereas he who was the legal guy, the lawyer, broke the promise he’d made.

However when it came to reading her bad mood, WS was far better than YJ. She gave herself away by smiling, cooking and using polite language: everything that a good wife should at least have done. She was therefore not really a good wife, or even a nice person. I wonder what she might have been like when younger, but after her teenage trauma, she seems to have become more like a sociopath.

The timing of the murder is unclear. Over and over again we hear people say that they saw Soo Jung "late last…
Now that I've watched the series, I can slowly go back to rewatch.

I'm thinking it ridiculous that Woo Sung and bro Jin Ho are so keen on the cheating when they are the most afraid of their wives, when it was clear from the outset that if he cheats, he dies and after he signed that stupid Disclaimer of Physical Rights. What gross stupidity.

I could understand it if they were not the timid sort or if death was not the comeuppance, but to have all that and still want to cheat plus Jin Ho encourages him to cheat... they deserved more pain than they got.

Review Cheat On Me, if You Can Spoiler
The timing of the murder is unclear. Over and over again we hear people say that they saw Soo Jung "late last…
But there are some questions left dangling.
- Why did SJ's manager say it was Yeo Joo who was responsible for SJ's death? He also said that the accomplice was likely Yeo Joo, but it was not she who was at SJ's grave. Did he lie?

- SJ's manager also gave the impression that the USB drive held a video of WS going into SJ's studio apartment, but that was again not true.

That was really one of the most deliciously twisty ironic endings ever!!!

WS has shot himself in the foot more by being kind to innocent Mi Rae than by cheating with Soo Jung. The irony is so wonderful. He wanted to get YJ killed because he wrongly thought she'd sent goons after him to beat him up, because he thought she had found out about his cheating. But the best joke is that she had never found out for sure. She had never known why everyone thought she had a motive to kill Soo Jung, and she didn't know why WS would want her killed.

In the end it was because the husband of Mi Rae jealously wanted WS dead, that he was almost killed, but after this he had stupidly, drunkenly ordered his wife to be murdered, and then forgot about it!!!

Of course it turns out that the person approached to kill her refused the job and told her the possible motive of her husband: fear of reprisal from her for his cheating. There was really little doubt as the course of action after that, since especially, he had already waived his physical rights. In order to save herself, take revenge on him for his paying for a hitman and because he cheated, there was only 1 thing to do. And she had the Disclaimer that said she had the right to kill him!!

I've watched up to Episode 14. There's non-stop information flowing with every few minutes but no time to process…
I'm going to post my thoughts as a spoiler, just in case you forgot the ending,

Ahjumma, Yeom Jin Ok, Housekeeper and long-time nanny/maid of Kang Yeo JooShe's an interesting character who is…
I thought I'd add here a conjecture (since watching Ep 14) that Ahjumma thinks Yeo Joo killed Soo Jung and is protecting her by somehow acquiring and hiding the murder weapon and the perfume clue.

It doesn't matter how slow you are because I still have to get to the end and rewatch and process what's being revealed. I need to see the end first to know what to look out for. Show has been good in presenting clues that point in one direction only to have it revealed that they fooled us. Hence we are not sure which are the red herrings.

I've watched up to Episode 14. There's non-stop information flowing with every few minutes but no time to process it. I'll have to watch until the end and then go back to rewatch slowly. It seems that there's not a single unnecessary character in that very large crew of actors. I mentioned before that Ahjumma could be a suspect in Soo Jung's murder and Ep 14 is focusing on her and giving viewers the idea of this possibility.

Here I see it.
Thanks for the tip @WE. I do usually write elsewhere and paste my comments, but I've been lazy in MDL. Looks like I have to do that here as well.

The timing of the murder is unclear. Over and over again we hear people say that they saw Soo Jung "late last night". However if we take it that WS went to her studio the day after her dinner at his home, and did not see her then either she had changed her mind, been out and not been home to see him, or she was already dead.

But the convenience store guy heard her talking to a woman (Seo Joo) and agree to meet the person on the line. Was this the night of the dinner? The cafe girl also says she saw SJ "late last night" and that she was with a woman.

The next morning, SJ missed her live show, 'Morning Stories'. Was she still alive but unable to do her show?

There was also supposed to have been the awards ceremony... which night was this? We assume it was another night after the dinner night. Soo Jung disappears after the ceremony and is found dead a few days later still in the yellow dress that she'd worn for the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the Security Boss of SJ's Studio building is kidnapped and is kicked into a grave by a woman's foot. He sees the dead SJ in the grave. However he manages to escape. He's convinced that WS hired the kidnappers and wanted him dead. In Episode 7 (Pt 13?) he remembers that the kidnapper was SJ's manager. SJ's manager runs away to the Philippines and calls YJ who orders him to stay away until she finishes her new novel.

It's possible that the death of SJ had something to do with YJ but not because she had gotten WS to cheat on his wife with her. If she was present at the 'burial' of Security Chief and SJ, she is definitely involved in real murder, not just fictional stuff.

The NIS chief was protecting YJ while Soo Ho was trying to expose her. Don't know what their relationship is yet.
Yes, that's what it seems like with that NIS chief. He's doing something he shouldn't ie making use of his best people to do his personal stuff. It will be good to know how he got that scarring on his face. A flashback of his when he wasn't scarred but he was nasty. I have to rewatch that part.

That's the strength of this show... the tremendous amount of irony that keeps coming. Just as he decides he will be a good husband, he'll find that matters start going out of his control, because the women will not obediently be still. At every turn, it's possible for his wife to find out and kill him (I kind of wish she would!)

Kang Yeo Joo, the most interesting character but so little is revealed about her.

She's the most at ease with Ahjumma who has known her since she was 6 years of age. Ahjumma knew her mother but made the mistake of mentioning her. YJ froze and became unresponsive. We gather that there's a bad memory or a trauma surrounding YJ's mother.
