Those interested in this drama: REQUEST IT in as many streaming sites as you can please and thank you!
90% of the translations on Japanese dramas come from d-addicts forum, where users do it from their own time (without any compensation). Then streaming sites come in, take their subs and post them on their own site just to earn profit (without asking permission from the translators). And what's worse, sometimes the streaming sites remove all credits from the author.
Legal streaming sites are obviously the exception. They hire people to translate the dramas they stream.
The movie takes place about 10 years after the drama. At the end of the drama, Tensho period (named by Nobunaga) had just started, but in the movie it's already the 10th year of Tensho. Although, all the relationships seem to continue from the same place as they ended in the drama. Really weird.
If someone's looking for a private tracker where to download lots of high quality Japanese Variety Shows, send me a message. They're not subbed though, so keep that in mind.
If anyone sees it subbed, please let us know...
I have requested it from Viki, DF, KissAsian, DramaNice..
You know the streaming sites don't make the subtitles themselves, right? avieamber from d-addicts is translating A Life and the first episode came out today. avieamber made the subbing announcement already in December.
This is a remake of a hollywood movie called, 8 below.
The Hollywood movie Eight Below is based on the Japanese movie Nankyoku Monogatari (1983), which was based on the real story that happened in 1958. The 1983 Japanese movie tells the same story as this drama.
This drama is really hard to find. doramax264 has it hardsubbed, but the quality is horrible (VHSRips). You can find the DVDRips including soft subs at d-addicts.
