I like the idea in general. I don't like that it's a command from on high, so to speak, so they must obey; everything tastes similar when every cook is ordered to follow the same recipe using the same ingredients.
Always happy when an older Korean show pops back up in the rotation on streaming services. Watching this now on Netflix. First episode seems alright, but the episode guide ratings suggest it gets much better. I'll see.
He was polite and respectful of his grandfather. How terrible. They'll get over it or they won't watch, but something tells me this has more to do with the media and less the actual sentiment of the viewing audience. I could definitely be wrong though, I'll admit.
Ding hugs the whole team after the reset because he's so happy to see them alive, and completely ignores his boss who's waiting for his hug. I'm dead. 🤣🤣
The boss is being completely unprofessional—blaming the officer for the deaths that occurred during an accident,…
It was absolutely an irrational response, but he'd just lost a lot people and didn't control his emotional outburst. It was a heat of the moment thing. Stretched my suspension of disbelief, but didn't break it.
I loved Reset; this is different. Reset, y'know, one situation, and you got to view it from every single angle, until you knew it by heart, just like the main characters. Mobius, so far, is broader in scope and more complex in design with more moving pieces. Reset had to rely on many, many false leads, red herrings and failed attempts, but you still got to know the characters very well; because there's a limited number of loops in Mobius, there's fewer fails, but you also don't really get to know the side characters as well (not yet, anyway).
It does some things better, while sometimes lacking in areas Reset excelled at. Right now I'd say it compares equally to Reset overall, but I need to see the full season.
Oh, come on!!! Episode six opens with a romantic song while they run on the beach laughing and chasing each other, Deuk teaches Kyung to ride a bike on the pier, and Deuk's two former goons watch the pair from afar, dazzled by their carefree "fRiEnDsHiP". They gay. They so very, very, very gay, and with only two episodes left, there are still no female LIs in sight for either of them.
I read a few chapters from the webtoon, and tbh I loved the drama adaptation more. I never thought I'd be saying…
I haven't read the Webtoon, so maybe you're right. Maybe it's improved with the removal of the explicit BL elements. But man, is it obvious even without them. Still, this gives a good, different perspective to consider while I'm watching it.
I'm well into the second episode right now. The show is pretty fantastic. I have to say, though, I am a forty year-old man. We didn't use to say things like 'queer-coded'. Xena, for instance, had lesbian undertones or subtext in it's first few seasons before the undertones became overt and the subtext was just text. Reason I'm bringing this up is, regardless of what you call it, the BL origins are blatant. I'm not exactly hankering to watch two dudes in a romance, but the chemistry between these two is undeniable, and everything from the character backgrounds to the dialogue and camera, blocking and significant glances are full on BL. I've spoiled it for myself by coming here and checking while I watch that this does not actually come to pass in the show, and I'm not sad that it won't, but it probably should've. By the time I reach the end I'll know whether or not the story should've stuck to its roots, but currently I'm with the BL fans here. They're getting robbed.
Nah it's on par with the trend of making dramas 12 eps rather than 16, happens pretty frequently now, which imo…
Vincenzo truly was fantastic. And I do have to agree with you, FPS1 dragged a little in the first half of the season. It got frustrating with the villains constantly winning and no progress being made. I still feel like 12 hours is too short, but if it's paced properly I'll be happy with it. And it's good just to get a second season of this regardless.
the original series was actually 40 episodes when it aired . It got edited down to 20 for streaming on netflix.…
I am aware, but they were 40 half hour episodes, with the denouements and overall pacing still meant for an hour-long show. My point was, with an original run time of 20 hours, this new season only running for 12 means a potential loss of story and character. But it might still be good.
I'm on Episode 4 right now, it's not perfect, but it's good. If you're a fan of the cast or medical/legal/revenge thrillers, there's definitely something here for you.
Really, really hoping that November 30th date is for this year! Loved the first season and just came back to Viki. It would be great to see season two soon.
It does some things better, while sometimes lacking in areas Reset excelled at. Right now I'd say it compares equally to Reset overall, but I need to see the full season.
Show is still fantastic, though.
