That is the only negative I have noticed in this drama. In the initial episodes I thought Hikaru is the biggest green flag in this world on how he supported, motivated and made Haruka feel her worth. But sadly once he became the BF nothing was there. I expected some kind of growth arc for Haruka since she said in one episode "I am caring only about you". Yeah she started working in a cosmetic company but it would've been great if they showed something like Haruka finding something meaningful on her own and Hikaru supporting. But in the last few ep Hikaru kind of led me down.
In episode 11 and I am really really really enjoying this drama. Lots of LOL moments and lots of swooning also ❤️ I hate the emperor and CGH seems so selfish. I kind of liked how they brought pieces of other dramas as a parody. Hope it will be enjoyable till ep 40 and not go downhill.
Recently I am losing interest in the middle of some dramas, but with Moonlight Mystique I completed the whole drama in three days without turning back or getting bored. Even though few things are predictable, but the whole plot, characters, CGI, costumes everything top notch. Especially all the actors gave their best starting with Bai Shou, Fan Yue, Fu Ling, Chong Zhao, Tian Huo, Cang Shan, Mujiu, Tortoise Shifu, Rong Xian, Ling Long even Zhen Yu. I cried almost every two episodes once. (Last time I cried a lot is with ALP) Its really really good. Almost everyone got their karma as per their action. My only disappointment is not showing our fav chars reborn in the special episode. And yes just because of this drama I purchased iQiyi and now searching for a good drama like this with good plot and acting.
1. Cuiji clearly knowz ZhengWu took the treasure which is one of the reason for their family downfall. Will she take revenge for this on later ep? 2. During the Black Pandits ambush, it looks like Cao Da, Loud, Shrimp, Wei Yan all came for sacrifice. Dir just wants to drag them out and kill them. ML mentioned thats an underground place where Duanwu was sleeping inside peacefully. whereas these guys voluntarily came and got killed 😳 3. How come Black pandits infiltrated the place and killed the doctor who promised to help the ML with medicines. If the doctor is inside the gate it wont be accessible right and the same goes for Duanwu kidnapping. 4. I doubted Yu Chi throughout the episode and they never showed him or his ppl either escaping or fighting during the ambush. But at final he came and just delivered his dialogue. 5. The confusion between Prince Tan and Ying. At first Cui family pearls money went to support Prince Tan. So i thought he is the bad guy and Ying is the good guy. But in later ep all of a sudden they showed connection between Zheng, Black Pandints, Cui and Prince Ying. 6. Last but not least my frustration is about the love between the ML and FL. Is that so weak or they just time passed. Duanwu knew everything about ZhiJing his pain, his story, his sufferings how come she just like that come to an assumption that he is responsible for everyone's death and came with a knife during the first meeting after the ambush. Can't she give him a chance to explain or can't she read the situation that there are 2 arrows towards her where they have shown her brilliant all the time. At least Zhi Jing is good about his closure since he dont have medicine to extend his life span and he need to avenge for all others he took that decision. But Duanwu how come she can be so naive and stupid reg the situation with Zhi Jing.
