😂😂😂😂
And sorry but the actor playing Ga Seon yeong is hardly compelling to watch. Her acting was good in the first ep coz it suited the overall mood but it has been the same creepy expressions since then. I find her to be the weakest link and her portrayal does not have any nuance.

I agree the romance here lacks depth. But then, imho that's true for almost everything in the show 😭

Aside from all that, with the FL herself, the writing does not do anything for viewers to collectively root for her. There are barely any throwbacks to her past except a dialogue here and there. Emotional moments are cut too soon. The village story lacked in drama. So many muchang eps but there's not even one heartwarming scene or relationship except maybe with Dong Min's son. Baek Hye ji got the better emotional arc. Dong Min saves the day almost always. Mostly, she does nothing to drive the script - either it is Lee Don or Dong min. And when she does, it ends up as a misguided attempt for Dong min to save the day or for Lee Don to chastise her. 🙄 9 epis in and we don't have many tracks where FL and main antagonist directly sparred. It is mostly cliched serial killer plot type mind games that are repetetive. So what does neutral audience get to take back with them? Emotions? Nope. Thrill? Barely there. Action? Badly done. Romance? Half baked. Curiosity? Yes there is and that is what it is thriving on.

I still feel the issue is not the romance. Romance if done well adds beauty to the narrative. Now if Kim Yeong ran still has a stoic face when ML is confessing in a tender moment, who apart from die-hard fans will buy their bond? And in general, the problem with this show is they don't allow anything to cook well. Neither the romance nor the revenge. It is all hazy. The revenge is not even her own, how much can they stretch it for people to buy the urgency of the situation or to feel the desperation of FL/ Lee Don? The one whose revenge it is, is conveniently dead with no hint yet as to whether he is alive or not. So what or whom are we supposed to root for? His alive or dead status will be a sensational plot twist one fine day i guess. Dramas that thrive on such sensational last minute twists with no proper build up will always divide opinions.
On Ms. Incognito Oct 28, 2025
What was that? FL suddenly gave expression like a possessed person and then conveniently fainted again for ML to come and play statue with a gun pointing on that killer or whatever.😭 ( killer wasn't playing statue- he ran away🫡) Said killer is hired by psycho sister- by means of a random psychoanalysis plot thrown in -and she tells him he is out to kill devils and voila he is her cult follower now. 😭 The problem with this drama is that almost EVERYTHING is surface level with no real depth.

Yeong ran is a terrible fighter and even more terrible at being undercover, why even make her a bodyguard if you're…
It was actually visible in the first two eps as well that her body language and demeanor do not do justice to a professional bodyguard (especially with haraboji trusting her with everything 🙄). But back then the execution was chef's kiss, most of us ignored technicalities. Now with the drama losing its plot every week, the bad writing for her mission and the sloppiness in fight scenes make it all the more evident.
On Ms. Incognito Oct 18, 2025
I feel the English title Ms Incognito does not do the drama justice. It really is about the GOOD WOMAN BUSEMI. How the town people meet a woman named Busemi , a fake identity, and how they grow to love her real self and come together to protect her. As Busemi, KYR will get a new found family and have character growth, realizing her own goodness. Hence the focus on slice on life elements. However since the story was based on the rather brilliant first two eps, the writing for the slice of life aspect kind of fails to match up to that. But I really really loved her scenes with the kids. Hye ji and Yeong ran wearing same clothes and being vulnerable with each other was also nice. Wish there were more such scenes. And wish the side characters had more depth.
As far as the thriller is concerned, unfortunately somehow despite the elaborate chase scenes the "thrill" is missing. It is okay if every episode her cover is on the verge of being blown so that the muchang people can show up one by one to support her. But the thrill of will she be caught or wont she fizzles out. Every. Single. Time. Maybe it's because the scenes are unnecessarily drawn out with comedy sprinkled in. I wish that aspect was well written and executed. The few stunt scenes in this show are also clumsily choreographed. Yeong Ran with that umbrella was just 🙄 But i guess thats okay, action lovers don't really seem like the target audience.
Overall i feel there's potential even now, only if they manage to fine tune the genres together.

Xu yan and yeong ran are very different character .. Yan is well prepared. Very hardworking take each step properly…
Sorry for jumping in but this right here is my issue with the plot as well. The whole identity change thingie is sloppily written. Too much suspension of disbelief is required. And because comedy or romance is mostly at the expense of some stupidity of the lead character, it becomes annoying.
On Ms. Incognito Oct 14, 2025
When people question the genre it does not always mean that they are hating on the drama. I like this show and the FL and like anyone else watching even i have my expectations as a viewer. Yes it is a crime thriller romance comedy but it was primarily supposed to be a thriller based on the mounting of the first two eps. Yes there should be romance and comedy to make it a well rounded show but i also believe that the thriller aspects should at least be well written. The problem actually is not so much with the romance or the comedy but with the sloppy writing for the thriller and some glaring plot holes. The cover identity plot is not convincing. Especially if grandfather is alive it is even more confusing on why he'd send her on a random mission that could be caught on so easily. The main female villain is now totally cartoonish. She should have been more involved with the narrative like how her character was set initially. When these aspects are sloppy and the thrill is missing, comedy scenes that make the female lead look compromised will irk people. There is no balance between the genres right now. Yes the ratings are high but that does not mean the writing is superb and cannot be called out. What this show lacks in plot it always makes up with direction and intrigue ... i mean tbvh the plot of a girl being randomly picked and blindly trusted with such a massive inheritance is in itself far fetched but the execution was so good that the show got a loyal audience base. Overall, the execution and curiosity about what will happen is what is working for it even now. But for it to be a classic it has to be true to its main genre writing wise.

The drama really is promising. Loved the flow. I hope there's something unique that it can offer in the upcoming eps. Also not to compare but it had this Itaewon Class vibe to it ...though of course the stories are vastly different. Maybe that's why i loved it so much. 😊 Glad to have something to look forward to... netflix weekend and chill FTW!

I feel like K-dramas never respect themselves. I mean, this drama is supposed to be a thriller, but all I see…
THIS and to add just one thing rom-coms become thrillers out of nowhere with a random serial killer twist 🤣

First of all I don't get the unnecessary hate train for SJK. He's one of the best and good looking actors of this…
I agree. The acting is actually very good. The hypocrisy becomes blatantly obvious when one note, sub par and mid performances in other recently released projects get hailed as something phenomenal or whatever. Common now if if those are the acting standards then what's the problem here? Since the start of this show it has been a compulsive instinct to specifically discredit his acting. You could hate the plot/ direction all you want coz maybe it's not for everyone but technically what's wrong with the acting?? And when it's not acting, there is a problem with literally everything- face, eyes, hair, clothes even wait-for-it colour. And i really don't understand what is "does not suit the role". What? He should have had horns to play a particular character? His restrained portrayal in general and the heavy acting in emotional scenes, along with the innocence in those playful scenes are all actually perfect for this tragic role. It is never over the top. But i guess, when it is the in thing to dislike a particular actor then everything they do becomes an eye sore. Also, i come from a place where married actors have been portraying romantic roles since ages... this Korean obsession with "married man with two kids is not suitable" is simply off putting. It is called ACTING for a reason. Man what a mess.

I didn't even say i want anything realistic. I just called out one aspect of a much hyped show but i myself am enjoying the romance... it is a legitimate observation that many people are pointing out. You people are more touchy than the makers also.

Calm down madam. Who the hell are you to tell me what im supposed to watch? Even the writer will not be as offended as you on reading an opinion about one aspect of a FICTIONAL drama. Sit down and DON'T SHOUT BELOW MY COMMENT.

Is it normal to have this sort of twist this early in a drama? I don't usually watch "melodramas", so…
I don't think there's any standard pace. The pace is upto the writer, isn't it? What i meant was the sickness thing was always hinted so i wasn't really surprised. It had to come sooner rather than later. Now they couldn't have dropped it in the last two eps. ML being sick and going noble idiot yet again on the FL aligns with this show and the past history of these characters. For it to be the central conflict it had to come somewhere around mid way through the drama so imho it is not too early. Now if they show something novel with this oft-repeated premise or if it becomes a miscommunication dragfest like any other is upto them.

#Ep4&5 in my humble opinion i do not feel this show is being true to it's genre because why is the romance more interesting in a geo-political thriller? 🙄 I still feel the political jargon is mostly all talk and no show. It is supposed to make you anticipate the impending doom but somehow it does not land. The romance does land but again there's no depth because what is the emotional connection between these characters? it is mostly anchored by chemistry between the actors. Half of the series is done but we do not know anything about the ML yet. FL is a strong character but some of her actions are merely plot devices. The script does not allow to properly connect with either of the two, though they work well as a pair. Also the assassination attempts.... if it is indeed the CIA then it is indeed laughable and that's that. With the budget and scale, the execution should have been tighter and genre specific. I want to know who is the spy and what is the actual motive but with only four eps left, i hope it is not rushed into another half baked ending.

#Ep5&6 though somewhat haphazard, this week ended with one of the most beautiful scenes of the show. Just how the track culminated into one of the most poignant line deliveries in "the world seems a bit more beautiful ", i feel the show will feel whole and it will all come together only after it ends, like a beautiful painting to look at.
The twist did not come as a surprise to me though, as it did to some viewers and non-viewers. I always found this show to be typical in that sense. It is eventually an old school melodrama in an unserious/ experimental time slot for a certain niche. But i do think the trope will lead to some character growth and a well rounded ending given the pace of the show. Rain and winter down the line, let's see how the sombre, darker second half goes compared to the warm, colorful first half.

No offence to anyone but i find it amusing that suddenly everyone is like "this was the best drama of the year until the latest twist (which is not even a twist lmao) and now we are dropping it." 🤣 Till the last epi, people all over were either ignoring it or nitpicking on it or mindlessly hating on it but now suddenly everyone is sad I cant 😭 Earlier it was 'too boring', now when the drama has officially begun it is 'a GOOD show fallen prey to tropes'!😭 And either ways it is still being dropped 🤣 Thousands of k dramas with this plot but it's My youth where we draw the line 😂 i really cant figure out why is everyone so passive aggressive with this drama. And if so many people were actually watching it with so much zest, why is it low on buzz? If nothing, at least the actors' performances deserved more praise. Not generalising but if you can't stand one of the actors and are only hate watching it to find flaws with EVERYTHING then it's your own blood that you're boiling. Sorry!

Wasn't it always hinted that Sunwoo Hae's sick? Right from ep. 1?? Also the character is written as the typical tragic melo male lead. I mean it's not like the script was changed overnight or anything, it's a pre filmed drama! 🤷‍♀️
