It appear so but I feel Subin character is too immature for a relationship and the vibe I got from Ro Shi is that she is too busy with her life to even consider a relationship with anyone at this stage.
To me it looked like Yoosung showed interest in both Dara and Ro Shi but only Dara actively pushed herself closer to him so it's probably normal for him to lean towards a relationship with her.
I don't like them as a couple or but do like the idea of a female character actively pursuing someone she likes without any "dirty" tricks that kdramas often use as a trope.

Not until the end, which have a bit of a twist. It's different from others in that the girl is smart and aloof while the guy is sweeter. If you do watch it don't miss the three short spesial episodes at the end about them as adults, those episodes have most of the actual romance in.

I thought so too but looking at it again I think that was the normal ending after each episode that kinda merged into the end.

100% agree. I also decided I am going to ignore the last 15 min or so. It just don't make any sense at all. Toxic and emotional blackmail with the "breakup" thrown in the argument everytime. For me the ending was when he got out of hospital. (Full stop).

I agree it's him sending it. When she took the bags to the office he said "it's all your favorite things" if he didn't send it how did he know.

QX had no choice, he must marry QM because it's a royal decree.
So he may start caring about her in the future.

Interesting, if the writers made the effort to comment it means the backlash they received from the ending must have been substantial.

If they really followed other dramas the most expected ending would be where they get married.
It would have been a de ja vu moment since the drama start with her marriage to the other guy.
On the other hand maybe that's exactly the reason why they opted not for a wedding at the end.

For me the perfect ending would LY finding out about his mum. Traveling with QY while healing from this emotional scar and the ending where he meet his mum again, reconciling and forgiving her.

No fast forwarding here. I've probably watch it a few times due to rewatching while waiting for the next episodes to air.

I moved on from this drama but can't help the occasional back flash.

The mothers that are prominent in the drama are also tragicly written with one exception.

Three commit suicide because of a secret about their background. (QM, LY, empress)
The only mother that is still thriving is QY's mother who is selfish and openly sceme her way out of things.

With that the thought of the apple doesn't fall far from the tree came to mind.
QY may detest her mother but she is more like her than she realize.

I wonder if the writers did this on purpose or it just turn out that way?

I have the same feeling about this drama and started to dislike the FL for these reasons.

For me QY's personality is not that different from the Grandmother madam and she would probably be the same once she get that age. (controlling and manupilate everyone around her for her own agenda)

The HE really bothers me (a lot) and left me with a feeling that it is not happy at all. I think QY will find an excuse in a few months to leave LY again to go traveling alone and the poor guy will just stay waiting for her to return.
(I feel so sorry for him, maybe it's all those realistic crying scenes.)

QX probably got the best deal of them all. A wife that love him wholeheartedly, stay with him and would walk through fire for him without even thinking about it.

After thinking about it I think that the empress and LY's mum was in a relationship. They were very close and she couldn't even get angry with LY who would have been her lovers son. The final proof would be LY's mum didn't want to live anymore when the empress died.

The lion's secret. It's a modern one but the ML shows his tough and vulnerable sides. It's not perfect but a good watch.

Yes the English sub say only years. Then I've put the Chinese subs on and used Google translate it come up as 10 years. That's why I am not sure, would be great if a native speaker can translate it for us.

That's what confuse me, from what I can work out from the subs she say 10 years. Does that mean she was away for 10 years or is that since she mey LY and she learned to write and read books.

I absolutely don't get what the writer was trying to do with that ending. If QY love LY so much and they have the great communication thing going why did she leave alone? He was packed up and ready to go before his mum passed. What in the world was she thinking when leaving, did I miss anything that was not clearly subbed? He lost everything, his friend, his mom, his job, his title, his reputation, and she chose to walk away from him. Surely the secret could be kept better if they left the capital together. If she understood him she should know he would be able to work it out eventually. How could she travel around without a care for (I think 10 years if I read the subs right) knowing LY is all alone and sad most probably waiting for her. Also was she really away for 10 years, or was it 10 years since she met him for the first time, meaning she was traveling for around 3 years then before coming back? The book she held is so thin can't think it will take her that long to write it. I think I am just going to ignore the last part of ep 34 to keep myself sane.
