Title The Good Wife Spoiler
The Good Wife... HA! She selfishly chose her own happiness because she didn't even try to go on counseling to…
RIGHT?! They could have went to counseling but she instead went to seek divorce advice... like... how can could she say that she tried to make things work when she in fact didn't try that hard. Sucking in your teeth and being a yes man to your husband or boss isn't "trying". Of course the husband was far from perfect, but the one thing he was ready to do was protect Hye Gyeong and his kids, regardless of the current status he had with his wife. The fact that he took initiative to set up counseling and went as far as to tell his son what was going on (since the mom kinda kept the kids in the dark) was a sign of good character. Many of the things that Hye Gyeong was upset at her husband for doing (committing crime, doing under the table business, sleeping with women) she ends up doing as well. She calls out her husband for being skeptical of anyone and everyone (guilty until proven innocent) and that he "makes" people guilty by entrapping them. She LITERALLY tampered with a MURDER scene to make her client appear LESS guilty. HOW DOES THAT MAKE HER BETTER? They honestly needed couple's therapy. This whole shebang would've been resolved lol. They needed to develop the wife's role more for sure. I feel like Tae Joon was the most straightforward person despite having a less than ideal personality. He wants a good job with a loving family and he wants to put bad people away. To me those are clear motives. I still don't understand why the wife has to be a Mary Sue...she's the main character for crying out loud... sorry for dumping this under your comment btw ^-^". I just finished the drama and I passionately agree with your comment xD.
