I only came across this article by chance and I am neither her fan nor have I watched her YT videos. I only know her from "Mr. Sunshine" and "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" on Netflix. But I am sure of one thing. She did nothing wrong! I know that with other content creators on YouTube, the fans themselves contribute with the subtitles in their different mother languages. There is nothing wrong with that. Kim Tae Ri has fans all over the world. Does she have to hire and pay 50 different professional translators now? No, she doesn't! Do these people also get upset at Hollywood studios because trailers or behind-the-scenes are only available in English? Or at Netflix because there is no translation in their language, except English? Maybe! But these companies don't give a damn if you're upset about it or not.
Then learn English or Korean! Then you'll understand the language. They should be happy that it's at least available in English. How can you be a fan of a foreign language actor/actress but not bother to learn their language, or at least English. I am not a Korean or English speaker and typed this into a translator. I speak English very badly. My mother language is German. But I don't get upset if something is not in my language. Then I am glad that it is at least available in English and try to understand as well as I can in my broken English.
Why do Koreans and Japanese have to apologise for every little thing, even if they are not aware of any fault? I like to say it again. Kim Tae Ri did nothing wrong. It is nothing to apologise for. She is even doing her international fans a favour by having her YT videos translated into English.
The first part of your comment was me complaining to my roommate ten minutes ago lmaooo.... she was the one who…
Well, not everyone can like it. I'm more of a rom-com type myself. For me, this drama was also a bit hard to bear. But later I couldn't stop watching it. ^^ I'm glad that at least your mother and sister liked it. (^^)/
i was in the middle of ep 4 and dropped out of frustration and boredom. all three sisters were unlikeable characters…
You really missed out! It becomes a LOT better from the second half on! I was also extremely bored until episode 6. From 7 onwards, everything changed abruptly!
To all those who (like me) struggle a bit with boredom with this drama: It gets a LOT better and more exciting from the second half on! It becomes more understandable, more action-packed, more dramatic and extremely exciting.
To all those who dropped the series prematurely: You missed out! ^^
Where can I watch more of this cute show? There are just a few episodes on Netflix and these are rather cut. According to the description, one episode lasts approx. 3h. On Netflix, however, only 7-15 minutes.
What are you talking about? There are lesbians and people with disabilities in Korea too, so why should they be…
What you say may be true, but it has nothing to do with what I said. The fact is that many of them work as models and actors in Korea. Whether Koreans find them attractive or not is irrelevant. And another fact is that at least half of the non-Netflix productions I've seen have featured foreigners at least once. I wonder if that's because Koreans are so fond of America. And yes, miscegenation is the death of a nation, but what does that have to do with the topic?

Then I guess you haven't watched many K-dramas. I've seen quite a few dramas with all kinds of nationalities and races. And these are not Netflix productions. And in case you don't know, there are actually quite a few black people in Korea. Many even work as models there.
Seems like a loose thread...maybe it ended up on the cutting room floor...
Yes, probably. But it's really sloppily done. Then they should have cut away the whole story around him and not mentioned him at all. Because in this version, this drama is incomplete in my eyes.
Can anyone explain to me what the real father of Kwang Nam is all about? Why are they making such a secret of it? It wasn't explained in the series.
Who was he? Why was he in prison? Why did Cheol Soo lie to Kwang Nam and say he was dead? Byun Ho (Kwang Nam's husband) apparently knew him too. Why this cliffhanger?
I hate dropping series/movies. But in this case I couldn't help it. After 3 episodes, it's still extremely boring. So far I've only dropped two series. And Rugal is one of them.
Who else thinks Seok Kyung should get an Oscar for her imitation in the 4th episode (at the very end)? 👍 I must have watched the scene five times and was amazed every time.

Playful Kiss, Itazura na Kiss (japanese version of Playful Kiss), My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, Revolutionary Love, Clean with Passion for Now, A Love So Beautiful (Chinese & K-Version), Birth of a Beauty, Extraordinary You, Crash Landing on You, Familiar Wife.
There are many more. These are just a few that I liked.
