After rewatching the episodes, could someone enlighten about 5th Princess and her “mu liao” are they just…
Not 100% sure on this but when she confronted CSS and her parents after getting waste and ash dumped on her, she said something about if she were a man, she would’ve made a better Crown Prince than her brother?
I think she was using those men as her “advisors” in the hopes she’ll be able to interfere in court when her brother takes the throne. I could see her trying to dominate him and he’d be too nice to stop her. I believe she also had them to shame the Yue family because they made it seem like those men were also part of her harem.
Did anyone else think that the « I trust Shaoshang » thing in the last episode was out of character for LBY?From…
To me it made sense. I got the sense that she would rather die trying than to be abandoned or left behind again. She was willing to die with LBY after the Ling family massacre. She also wanted to be with the Cheng’s until the end when they were framed as traitors and stealing copper.
I do agree with some parts feeling rushed so hopefully the rumor about the director’s cut is true.
I know that a lot of people are saying that the ending was rushed but personally speaking I don't think it was…
Yea. Wish we got to see them actually engaged. I mean does he even really count as a fiancé? It feels like, at least from Empress Xian’s explanation, that it was all pretend.
There were parts that differ from the novel, but mostly for the better. There are two things I'm not satisfied…
I agree with you! At first I was upset that they didn’t include the begging scene. I squealed when I read that part of the novel. However, I’m glad they changed that part for the show. It would’ve been LBY “forcing” CSS again ( just like the proposal). I feel like it would ruin any character growth we’ve seen. Hopefully the novel gets fully translated so we get the best of both worlds.
The one scene I do regret missing out on his the hot spring scene. That would’ve been fun to watch.
