Here’s my theory: Falling in love is a natural thing to do. You can live and love happily. For some reason, such as timing, you never cross paths with your soulmate, but you still experience a rich fulfilling love. For XY, she did meet her soulmate in XL. Their love transcends the physical. She’ll love Jing wholeheartedly, but a part of her heart belongs to XL. It’s the same with those that find love a second time around. Maybe not the same intensity, but it still is special and brings happiness. XY suffers but is rewarded with every form of love. XL accepted the love bug to be as close to her as he could. He has no experience with gentleness, but wants her happiness.
