Finally a PROPER historical drama. Such drama from China is soooo rare nowadays that I could not be bothered if the synopsis is not interesting. Whatever. Just watch. This is much much better than those Idol ancient drama with heavy makeup even on men. Those "fresh meat" idol main cast depend on their face and can't act well, FFS. Any drama with a "fresh meat" on the front cover has now been avoided like plague. It is not just looking at pretty men disgusting, the drama is usually poor quality as well, compared to this PROPER historical drama!
I am one who can understand why some of the Chinese fans online were complaining about "fresh meat" pretty boy Idol drama, and also agreed with their government's criticism of it. Let's just put it this way. If the cast of the above drama is changed into all those pretty boy Idols, what will happen? Firstly, budget for the film quality will be reduced for the traffic Idols' paycheck. Next, it will not be a PROPER historical drama anymore, but an idol drama filled with pretty boys for those fan girls. The essence of a historical drama will be gone without the current proper "old men" actors.
Started watching this because it is a genre I like and and Yona. However, got bored of this by episode 3 and barely able to hold on to keep watching which is disappointing. After the initial timeslip which interest me, by end of episode 2, it is becoming a 3rd rate palace drama, and a Korean one at that. Apart from a good script of using "evil" historical officials as the good guys, and good ones as the bad guys, there's nothing much to talk about. It is also interesting to note that they had to use French cuisines for the lack of Korean ones.
Dropped this drama at episode2. The acting is unbearable. "Fresh Meat" actors that depends on face really cannot act. That said, even the hospital president acts so gloomy and so soft-spoken like a sissy is horrid as well. Are you not the head of a prestigious hospital? Dropped. This is rating 8.4 ??? It's so bad. Are people voting on handsome actors or the drama quality?

Magic, advanced tech(like Dr Jin), or even martial arts in reverse isekai will be interesting. I know a few movies have martial arts in reverse isekai, but not well made.

So in this list which i havent watch all, only Doctor JIN(both Jap and Kor), Joy of Life(alittle) and Nobunaga, fits what i want. Theres some from manhwa and anime as well.
