In small doses, one episode at a time, without rushing... it's incredibly well-structured and full of characters, everything is constantly shifting but it definitely works... the cameo in episode 8... she's just... wow! Absolutely gorgeous!
42 seconds of teaser and at least 7/8 different outfits for Park Min Young; if she follows the same pattern as in her latest series, we're good to go! Kim Ji Won, start trembling! (Just kidding😊, who can beat the “Queen of Tears”?👑)
I don't care about grammys...its American awards and they are heavily politically biased. Its like america and…
Well said! In my opinion, this is one of the best definitions that can be given to this event: self-celebration, triumph of lobbies and major labels, which is basically the same thing! Musically, I would also extend this to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which has little to do with rock... normalization of a phenomenon that doesn't disturb, becoming institutionalized mainstream; pure marketing, I'm staying well away from it!
Hello 👋🏻Which two new projects are you referring to?- The Married Couple Is Jobless.- Hello Singles. If they're…
Ah! See!? I was wrong 😅, my fault for not checking the sources carefully; let's hope he doesn't keep us waiting too long for the new project, then! She seems to be pretty regular in the time between one job and another. ThankyouThankyou! 😉
Ah, without a doubt, there are many questions, and I reserve judgment until after the second part of the story; I am pleased to find some of my own reflections, such as the ambiguity and fascination of evil, the physicality of the character adapted to his status ("bigger than life"...), and, clearly, the similarities with the contemporary world, not necessarily limited to South Korea... As I have already stated in another thread, I am quite confident that the relationship between the brothers will be expanded, which could lead to some interesting narrative developments. A truly wonderful interview that also gives an insight into the acting method of an actor who always manages to perform at an excellent level... I'll save it and keep it in mind for a future review, thank you, Lily!
You don't mess around with Nana...❤️ The last point is quite clear: No compromise with the criminal. If I have understood correctly from the various reports, in addition to the relative, tremendous shock, the mother also suffered physical damage, i don't know how significant, so it is right that they take a hardline approach, also aimed at discouraging further cases.
You hit the nail on the head with this. You truly have a way with words. Thank you!
I really appreciate your words, they made me very happy. Beyond any possible interpretation, the truth is that my joy lies precisely here: In knowing that there are people who read, pause and find something meaningful in what I write. I am not writing for any other reason than this: To share a reflection and meet someone on the other side who feels it is their own. It is words like yours that give me the desire to continue doing so, with passion and sincerity. Thank you again!
I think his acting style is the complete antithesis of Hyun Bin's equally excellent performance; it's an acting counterpoint that is perhaps one of the best aspects of the drama, which has several narrative flaws but, in this first season, has a truly fantastic cast. Personally, I also think of Cho Yeo-jeong's remarkable performance in the third episode, I think...
I find it interesting that the show has a very European atmosphere, in the style of Jean Pierre Melville's classics, with the inevitability of death, suspended time and similar concepts. I believe that several situations will develop well in the second half of the drama, perhaps the dualism with the younger soldier brother, at least I hope so.
It's truly noteworthy that Kim Seon Ho learned even just the basic language fundamentals in four months or so; he must have a remarkable aptitude. I'm becoming increasingly intrigued by this drama. The Italian locations are truly beautiful. I remember that the wonderful borgo of Civita di Bagnoregio also inspired the master Hayao Miyazaki for that magnificent gem that is “Làputa”, just to mention one example... Two Hollywood stars, like Zendaya and Tom Holland, have been spotted often—even by my nieces complete with photographs😘—in Perugia. Here, between Canada, Japan, France, Italy and Korea, it all promises to be a real feast for the eyes!
The Japanese original -Ice World- is truly beautiful, thanks in part to a noir-retro atmosphere that accentuates the deeper traits of the excellently sketched characters... Personally, I have high expectations, given the (great! ) names involved in the direction and cast; My only reservation is a personal one; I absolutely adore Park Min Young (I even praise her in my bio. . .) but lately, I find her acting style to be quite mannered. Apart from “Marry My Husband” (which I thought was wonderful), in her latest works, I always find her acting style to be a bit over the top. I think she needs a director who can rein her in a bit, without making her overdo it... This drama would lend itself well to a slightly more controlled performance, perhaps one of understatement... Wi Ha Joon is a truly incredible actor, a really excellent choice... Let's hope for the best!
Perhaps I used the wrong verb, in my ignorance of English. I mean “wince” in a positive sense. In Italian language, verbs such as "sussultare" , "palpitare" ,they also indicate an emotional state linked to pleasant anticipatory feelings , So read it—all of you read it—in a positive sense. ❤️🌺
She's a lovely girl, really pretty, him always excellent, but the thing that intrigues me most are the dialogues in Italian, as well as the truly fantastic locations. I hope it's a nice drama, I'm pleasantly curious and well disposed...
All three are fantastic, really, which is why I'll probably end up watching it. I'm not that keen on the legal genre, but the hint of mystery from the past should make it quite interesting... Let's hope so.
Eh, based on a true story, it promises to be a tearjerker, and who better than the original ‘Queen Of Tears’ to lead the cast? I’m delighted to see Choi Ji Woo again, an actress I truly admire... 2026 looks promising with several of my favourite actresses - including Ha Ji Won - on screen... Let's hope for good distribution for this ‘Sugar’.
Personally, I can only refer to ‘Descendants of the Sun’, which I absolutely love; it's one of the dramas I recommend most when I talk to people who are curious about Asian TV series... I believe that much of its success stems precisely from this balance of characterisation, which avoids what could be called the ‘filler effect’ (i don't know how to express it well in English.), where a redundant or marginal second story is tacked onto the plot: There is growth, a narrative progression that fits in very well with the main plot, and I remember well, even though I haven't rewatched the drama in recent years, how well defined Kim Ji Won's role was, also in terms of determination, certainly not a passive character! There is perfect chemistry between her and Jin Goo (who is certainly not inferior in terms of determination), which I find difficult to encounter often in recent series, where most of the time there is a certain mechanical randomness that I am not really passionate about... But I'm old school, as I've written in other threads, I'm a fan of “Secret Garden” also because of Yoon Sang-hyun and the beautiful Kim Sa-rang, who give so much to that immortal gem.
Then there's also ‘Goblin’ and, in some ways, ‘Crash Landing On You’ would also deserve a good analysis... When you get the right cast in its entirety, most of the time the story works beautifully, even in its ramifications. I join in the satisfaction at the return of the editorials, which are always a source not only of discussion, but also of discovery of new series, even if time, as usual, is tight...
