It was not the case in the novel. In novel, his character was totally different from here. I've read many novels and xue Ying was one of my favorite character which they completely ruined it here.
Every time i try to watch this, i give up because I've read the novel. I think it's makers and actors didn't read the novel. I mean how foolish a person can be to ruin such a good story by turning it into this shit. They've ruined everything from ml character to storyline, nothing left.
