For me the most important thing is a wrap up, no lose ends, no side characters forgotten. I can only accept open endings in certain movies, but after watching a whole series, I think I deserve all the answers.
And of course the ending needs to match the mood of a drama. I was too shocked when a show that was for the most part a comedy, had a big twist and a bittersweet ending. Other fans thought the ending was happy, but I cried for about 40 minutes straight.
During his Twitch stream Yoo Hwan explicitly told his fans NOT to watch this drama cause he hated working on it. He even gagged saying the title. Unfortunately, I don't have access to his other dramas (licensing issue), so it's the only one I watched so far. I keep teasing him, that he looked super handsome with brown hair, and Go Eun Ah was really funny!
This was the first Korean series I've ever watched. I was amazed at how they combined supernatural, comedy, drama, romance, cop show, and psychological thriller in one story! The acting was amazing, the chemistry between the lead couple, the way they fell for each other, but didn't want to admit it, and the villain was brilliant. I fell in love with Yoochun's funny face and he's been my #1 idol ever since.
I keep hearing about the lead Park Yoo Chun being a rapist. In the US we look at all charged with a crime as INNOCENT…
He was found not guilty, this was obviously an exortion attempt. But it doesn't matter, his reputation was ruined, he only got one supporting role since the investigation, and now that he was framed in a drug case, his acting career in Korea is over. His former fans passionately hate him. It breaks my heart.
I remember Yuhwan repeatedly telling his fans NOT to watch K-pop Extreme Survival. I keep teasing him, that he looks super handsome there and Go Eun Ah is really funny ^^
It breaks my heart that he's never ever going to get a role in a Korean drama or movie again :( And it's not even his fault, his career got ruined by false accusations, corrupted lawyers, and lying gossip media. Currently, he's making music again. If he's got the courage, he'll try again outside Korea, maybe a Japanese soap opera, or he'll learn Thai and star in a Thai drama. I believe in my price!
Anyway, I only watched it for Gulf and Mew, not for the plot, as if there was any...
