Main guy dies, two other guys die. Rest carry on living. But are successful with what they wanted to accomplish. Pretty sure. It's an unclear ending really. But that's what I took it to be.
Was really great up until towards the end where it just felt like they didn't know what to do with the story. I started to hate the lead actress in a way, too. Because she kept wanting Mu Le to return to his slave position instead of being an equal. I know that could have just been a statement of she wants things back as they used to be, but if that was the case she should have said that and not that she wants him back as a slave. I don't know that part just bugged me about her. But I really enjoyed the character of Mu Le, could really feel his sorrow at being abandoned by the world.
