Actually they are quite fast. The unofficial subbers from Kissasian and Dramacool have the subs 5hrs after airing.…
It looks like you just joined the world of Dramaland and you are already a "know it all". Before Netflix , VIU and IQiyi where do you think people watched Doramas and Kdramas? And who provided translations 15 or 20 years ago when Netflix didn't even exist?? Without unofficial subbers who have translated dramas FOR FREE for over 2 decades and their so-called illegal websites (well they were there before Netflix) that have allowed millions of people to become aware of it, you would not even be watching Asian dramas today. It is thanks to them that NETFLIX and other major streaming networks have become aware of the world of Dramaland and decided to dip their dick in it. Much respect to subbers. But my dear newbie how have they done it? There is not a special place where you get the original text. But there is a software that converts MP4 to text. Then another software that converts the text into an SRT file. Then a program that allows you to convert the SRT file into the language of your choice. Then another program that allows you to edit the SRT file so that you create a subtitles for your drama. Thant here is another software that lets you make hardsubbing. Then the hardsubbing gets uploaded in the ILLEGAL WEBSITE. NOTICE that if you watch translation done by the illegal subbers, they have kept the beauty of the culture intact "oppa, ajussi, dongaseng, seungi's mom, uri" etc etc. Unfofficial translators not only have provided translations but also detailed explanations. Netflix's translators have ruined that. they have removed the cultural aspect of the language. How many times the FL called her husband Oppa during this drama. But not even once, it was showing during the translation the world OPPA. THE PROFESSIONALS are doing a really lousy job. And illegals subbers are amazing volunteers.

Title Crash Landing on You Spoiler
I am so tired of the forced marriage/scheming girl and mother trope. It makes me want to vomit.
Arranged married is still very common in Asia, it`s part of their culture and that's why it`s a recurring topic in dramas. In China for example women married and have a baby before they turned 30. It would be naive to think they are all happily married with the love of their life. And men suffer too because they have to follow their parents wishes otherwise they are not showing filial pity. And it`s not just ok to fall in love with anyone. Parents have to approve. I am also bored to watch British tv,.because they always talk about sex. Did you see this new British movie called "last Christmas " the main protagonist mentioned sex, had and wanted sex through out the movie. That`s how British girls are.I lived there for 15 years and they are all sxxxx.

Good overall. Although that mother was a real piece of work.
If you think about it, she keeps bringing flowers to the grave of the fireman who saved her son, but failed to give support to his teenager daughter. And years later, instead of making amends she gets even more evil. ???

I have a feeling that there is maybe ? Maybe not gonna be a second season but tbh that’s just a Netflix move.…
Netflix has got nothing to do with it. One season is a typical format in Asia. If anything, Netflix is copying this format and in fact you can see tv series that something don't go above season 3. I have been able to explore Netflix only in the past 2 years, but I have watched k-dramas and movies for nearly 2 decades on Internet.

That is regular in Asian society though, to live with your parents and help take care of them. You can choose…
I understand your point of view. But at the same time...She doesn't want to find anyone to love her because of what happened to her mother, but she wants to find a good person for her friend? If you don't believe in love you simply don't believe in love. It can't be like " I don't want to take the risk, but I'll make sure my friend does" Especially because her friend has already been cheated by her boyfriend. So she might be biased already. Also, how about the main characters. How about them telling Kyung Sun to find someone to love her and take care of her. What's this all passiveness. Asian countries are definitely more modern than what dramas portray. Now I don't mind about her living at home with her parents. I mind all the submissive attitude as if she is indeed a little kid. She is a woman with needs. going down on her knees. Going down on her knees and crying for forgiveness? This is a little unreasonable.

Title Something in the Rain Spoiler
This drama started so well, with a believable love story between the two main characters. What is not believable is that a woman who has a successful career, still lives at home with her parents and act like a little teenage girl when she "misbehave". She knelt down twice!!! TWICE!! in front of her father. And when I started to elaborate the reason why she did that I am like "hung on a second! Why did she do that? AT 40!! and with the opportunity to have her own place?!? ! Does this even make any sense?!" Not it doesn't. I have not idea how they are going to fill the rest of the episodes because for me the love story is already concluded. I can read comments about a terrible mother. I don't even want to know. These are two people in love and close in age. They both have good jobs, and they can get their own place to do all the smoochy yucchi they want. They can also get married. Also...there are two spinsters in this show and they are good friends. But one spinster hopes for the other spinster to get married with a good man. That's her second wish in her life. The first is for her brother to get married. And what about your happiness? When friendship is moronic.

Yes indeed. But Pinocchio was definitely an original story, and yet people still think it's from Walt Disney because Walt Disney never gave credit to the original author. That can be considered plagiarism.

I think the very last dialogue is very powerful. As a parent you might decide to forget and put an end to your anger and hopes, but who is still living in a nightmare hopes never to be forgotten and to be rescued every day.

It was common and it's still common, probably not with the ferocity that happened 50 years ago when parents would discipline their kids anywhere. Nowadays parents will do that in the privacy of their homes. Giving a kid a spank? in Italy?or in Greece? let's say a slap. Then let's divide what is abuse from a good beating. In Italy slapping or giving a good beating has never been considered a form of abuse. I saw a parent slapping her kid in a shopping mall in Milan for not apparent reason. I don't agree to that. I saw another parent slapping another one in Genoa because the kid was trying to steal a packet of sweets after the parent refused to buy it. I can understand why the slap. However personally I disliked both parents, and the way their disciplined their kids because I don't agree to this form of education, but I still say that in Italy is widely used. Also Italian language is full of expression that are meant to describe the future action that a parent will take towards a kid if they don't behave and they are quite colorful and creative.
Now, a French man was arrested in England while on holiday with his family because while he was eating at a restaurant with his family his 2 years old toddler was making a fuss, so he spanked him. The owner of the restaurant called the police and he was arrested for 24 hours. This is because in England is really illegal to slap or spank a kid.
Koreans follow Confucius anecdotes, and they respect the elderly.

In France, Italy, Greece and probably Spain but I'm not sure, it's very common to slap their kids or giving them a good beating. But when the child grows and become an adult parents stop disciplined them. People grow up fine without scars. But in Northern Europe it's a different story. Kids are never slapped and if that happens they can really grow up traumatized.
