Yeah, kdramas lost their "special sauce" for me a year or so ago. Gosh, kdramas were soooo good once upon a time. I miss watching for hours on end, being so invested in the story that it was unthinkable to stop because you had to work the next day. Oh. The good old days!
I mean i just want my kdramas to have chemistry, passion, sparks, butterflies and to fall completely in love with the leads. Is that too much to ask?
On a brighter note, this lack of binge worthy kdrama's have pushed me to venture in Thai dramas, which have been surprisingly good. I dont rewatch older kdramas that I loved, I just think that I have already experienced their magic and I want explore new ones. Since alot of people have been praising Cdramas here, I am going to check them out next.
Plan said they'd start filming in February or March. Will probably have 6-8 weeks of filming and another month…
WOW Blue_!!! Thank you for providing such detailed information. Now I have to work on letting this go until the middle of summer and then I'll allow myself to obsess over it. Please keep us posted if anything changes.
This was just ok for me. I wasn't invested in the main course story. Pete was fine, but I just didn't see the chemistry with Ae. On the other hand, I absolutely loved the TinCan storyline. I cannot wait for their story in season 2.
Loved the leads. They were outstanding. Loved the dad, he was a true dad. At times a little slow, but I watched all 44 episodes. I'm glad I watched it.
Loved it! It's not perfect, but I enjoyed every episode. To me the ending was appropriate for the journey we were taken on. I will miss the leads, they were pure magic. Cant wait for them to share the screen again.
I'm confused. I thought the best friend had dropped out of school and left down. And why would they kill him? Weren't they just paid to get Jun Woo in trouble?
I have had Majo No Jouken on my watchlist for a while, but I kept being reluctant to watch it. After reading your article I did watch it and it was simply awesome. I love it when dramas shake up my emotions. It was just so good.
Thank you for highlighting this older but great show.
I started watching it a few weeks ago. I didn't like the first few episodes as it seemed a little too bubbly for my taste, but I wanted to give it a chance. By episode 6, I was hooked. Leads have great chemistry and I love how supportive everyone is of eachother. For someone who has a hard time finishing dramas, this one is keeping my interest.
Today I was anxious about a decision I had to make and I thought to myself, "it's no big deal". As soon as I said that I remembered this amazing show. I watched when it was airing and I still remember it. I will never forget it.
I loved them being in love, but something seemed wrong from the beginning. After all the hype from the marriage died down, I was surprised how seldomly we saw them together. Relationships are complicated, and you have to be willing to compromise to make it work. Hope this doesn't turn ugly for either one of them.

Here are my favorites quotes:
It doesn't mean someone is in bigger pain just because he cries louder
''You are only able to feel lightness more, once you've experienced the heaviness.''
"There's no such thing as what if to the past."
"A way to overcome pain is through more pain."
"I'm sorry. For making you experience it alone. You must have been scared."
For some reason, I find the title very appropriate for this drama.
Not only did we have to wait a full week for one episode, but the subs are taking longer than usual. Argh!!!
