Just watched episode 16. Even though Yatou's death is literally one of the worst kept spoilers, it was still so sad. I loved the scene where Er Ye was begging for the medicine. It was one of the scenes that I had been looking forward to the most (the other being the lamp-lighting at the auction, which was sort of disappointing, tbh) and I am very happy with how it turned out. All that angst makes me so satisfied :>
Seriously hating the end of each episode of the series though. It's not even a proper cliffhanger as much as it is an abrupt finish of an incomplete scene. Very dissatisfying and annoying :/
It didn't have the addictive quality I was looking for but so far so good. There are some sub-plots where I really…
Where do you watch this? I don't have iqiyi premium but I don't want to wait. Is there an alternative (idm western or chinese sites) that streams the newest episodes for free? :>
oh my... I think Poker Face will die in book 4 or 5... he isn't in the adventure in 5 anymore. Waaahh... why must…
http://daomubiji.org/ is like a lost tomb shrine. it has pretty much everything the author has ever written if you want to access the original volumes.
I don't have a lot of time, but I love these books so if you were to make it a proper translation project (like on a wiki or a forum somewhere?) I'd be happy to drop by whenever I can to help out as well :)
Just to clarify for anyone confused, this movie is separate from the tv series. They are separate productions based on the same book series, but the cast and staff have nothing to do with each other. From what I've seen of the trailers, the set design for the tombs are quite different too, so you can treat it as a completely different entity.

Yes. If you are interested in what happens to Poker Face at the end of the books, PM me and I'd be happy to tell you. But obviously, there will be spoilers, so it's your choice how much you want to know :)
Also, while it's not a season 2. You may want to check out Old Nine Doors/Old Nine Gates, which is coming out in June this year. It's the prequel series about WuXie's grandfather's generation, following Zhang QiShan and ErYueHong on their own tomb raiding adventure and such. Would probably be worth a try if you enjoyed The Lost Tomb
To be fair, the movie was planned even before the series came out. They were going to separate projects from the beginning. Iirc, when they first announced the casting, they made it pretty clear it was only for the tv series, so it's not like they got replaced or anything. They're just different things.
(And it's probably for the better. If the movies are more loyal to the books - which i hope - then the drama and movie will have a lot of contradictions. So different actors will make it harder to get them mixed up)

Wait, poker face as in Zhang QiLing? Where are you getting your info from lol. I haven't been catching up to date with Sanshu's latest weibo entries, so I don't actually know what happens *after 10 years*, but in terms of the books, you've got nothing to worry about xD
Their banter is great.
