The only reason I’ve survived so far is because of this comment section. Thank y'all for making it easier. It really helps with all the waiting until this Saturday. I’m officially addicted to this drama ♥️✨

I caught up on this drama yesterday. It has been on my tiktok for you page for weeks and I do not regret starting…
You may not regret it now, but you’ll regret it soon when you finally have to wait for the next episode after binge-watching all the released episodes. 😭 Waiting is so hard

Judging by the average Episode Guide ratings this drama may end up below 8.0 😞Then I'm going to have a dillema…
Not all the time, but 70% of the time, I also choose what to watch based on ratings. However, if I see a drama that interests me despite the ratings, I give it a go. That’s what happened with this one as well. The plot looked interesting and had great actors, so I decided to watch it before it even came out. I only rely on others’ ratings when nothing in particular interests me about the drama. As someone who has already watched this, I don’t understand why it'll get lower ratings, while 'Lovely Runner' and 'Our Beloved Summer' have ratings around 9. I love them both. They’re quite similar to this one and give off the same vibe. I really enjoy this drama and don’t understand the rating system. If 'Lovely Runner' and 'Our Beloved Summer' deserve around a 9, I believe this one does too (so far; I’m not sure what the future holds). I personally believe all three dramas are great and deserve at least a 9.5/10.

Today's promo... Seems like it's after his confession 🙂
I don't think that's after his confession. They wouldn't be that calm with each other afterward. Also, I don't think it will happen in episode 7. Maybe at the end of episode 8? Even if it happens in episode 7, it will probably be at the end, not in the middle

SLOW BURN ROMANCE ARE CERTAINLY MY CUP OF TEA🔥🔥🔥
Yes, that's the best. Normally, if the leads start dating at the beginning, I’d lose interest, so I also personally prefer slow-burn romance

With all respect I wish they hadn't given the protagonist such a common dream, my goodness she knows English,…
This is all true. This bothered me a lot as well, but I didn't bring it up since it looked like I was the only one who was bothered. I'm glad I'm not alone. With all due respect to the profession of cooking, I wish she found her passion in something else that suits her more. Given her character and personality in this drama, I honestly can't picture her as a cook. In the beginning of episode 5, when I kind of realized that they were going to make her a cook, I was so much in denial and didn't want that to be true. There are other professions that would be a better fit for her passion. This one is just not satisfying. Maybe that was the goal of the whole thing? Now that she’s aiming for something her parents will oppose, the story can be developed around how she pursues her dream despite the obstacles, and how Seung Hyo supports her through it all. If she had chosen a profession like you mentioned, her parents wouldn’t be as opposed (because, according to her dad, they believe she shouldn't be a cook because she should do something "better"), and if there were no opposition and everything went smoothly, there’d be no story beyond the romance

I came across that theory about Seok Ryu being sick again. It was going around during the first couple of episodes, then it faded, but now it’s back after the nosebleed scene in episode 6. Could it be true? I don’t think that kind of ending would fit the vibe of this drama. It's at the top of my rewatch list now, and I really hope they don’t mess it up with an unnecessary plot twist.

I thought I was the only one bothered by how Seong Hyo has been treating Seok Ryu over the past few episodes. He’s been somewhat mean to her from the beginning, but that didn’t bother me much because I saw it as just bickering. However, now it’s becoming more extreme. While I don’t like his behavior, I understand that it’s his way of dealing with the conflicting feelings rushing through his head—feelings he doesn’t want and can’t control. At the same time, I feel bad for Seok Ryu. He tells her to give him some space without providing any context, pushing her away and leaving her confused. As a friend for over 20 years, being suddenly pushed away without explanation must be really hard for her. It’s always difficult when someone suddenly changes without giving you a reason. I understand both sides, but Seong Hyo really needs to stop being so mean. We’ve seen too much of that side of him already

I haven't watched Episode 6 yet, so maybe this gets answered in that episode, but why isn't one of the four "Lavender"…
I thought maybe he’s either much older or much younger than the rest of the crew, which is why he’s not in the group?

In episode 5, it's mentioned that FL took a year off from Greip. Do you think she got pregnant and had a baby? And…
Lol, yes. If that were the case, he would’ve recognized Seok Ryu when he saw her. They also mentioned that it happened when she was 30, and now she’s 34. So, even if she had a baby, it couldn’t be more than 4 years old. I also remember those coworkers pitying her over whatever happened. If she really did have a baby, they wouldn’t have pitied her, right? So that can’t be it.
But I agree with both points you mentioned. My first assumption about Seok Ryu was also that she might have been pregnant at that time. Regarding the journalist, I’m also quite sure he’s not married. He might not even be the biological father of that girl. What if he’s raising her for his sister or something? Like you said, he was very calm when mentioning the girl’s mother, so I thought he wouldn’t be that calm talking about his past relationship.

You think that's Seok Ryu's daughter that he was raising? Or did you point out two different things?

Omg, how am I going to wait a week for the next episode after that preview? I don’t think I’ll be able to wait even a day, let alone a week. This is getting better and better every week. The wait is going to kill me this time.. 😭💔

As a huge fan of this drama myself, I hate to admit that I agree with everything you say. It feels very random…
True...no one's right or wrong here. It's just we have different perspectives.. Never thought what y'all saying is wrong from the beginning thoo. Just wanted to explain why i personally believe it was little lacking.

If you're referring to the points mentioned in the reply below to the original comment, I don't think I missed anything. I noticed all those details too, but I still believe it felt sudden. Yes, I've seen her mention cooking in the US and getting praised for it, and I've noticed her making omelets on the rooftop with some plants and trying to help her parents with their restaurant. But in my view, these moments aren't enough to convincingly call cooking her "dream."

Everyone who studies abroad usually ends up cooking for themselves, and naturally, they get better with practice. And she was bored both times she made those omelets and when she offered to help her parents, and she was just doing them to kill time. Those seemed like ordinary, everyday moments. Maybe it was enough for some, but for me, it felt lacking. In other dramas, the protagonist's dream is introduced or realized in a more natural way. Seok Ryu's cooking was portrayed more like a casual hobby than a true passion. If it was meant to be her "dream," it needed more depth. All I'm saying is that they could have done a better job developing her journey to finding her dream job instead of making it feel forced and like just a hobby. That's just my personal take on it.

what even is this episode lol. don't get me wrong I'm enjoying the calm serene vibes of it all, and bae seokryu…
I think that was meant to give an access to Seok Ryu's dream. If she shows a lot of interest in making food/ paste, it would open up the opportunity to show her realization of her dream. I didn't like it either because that whole thing felt forced. The only good thing that happened in this episode was Seong Hyo realizing his feelings for her.

I was one of those who loved this drama from the get go.... Felt their friendships be it between the ajhummas…
As a huge fan of this drama myself, I hate to admit that I agree with everything you say. It feels very random and sudden to me as well. I still love the drama and can't wait for the next episode, but that whole cooking thing came out of nowhere. I really don't like how it was so sudden and forced. I wish it had been something more natural, something that would make us happy to see her finally achieving her dream.

Man standing up for his woman x Woman standing up for herself 🥹🤌🏻That scene was so satisfying! 👏
True..its always so satisfying to see women standing up for themselves instead of waiting for some man to show up and save them. And here, it was also satisfying to see him standing up for seok ryu as it proves how much he cares for her although he doesnt really show it..
