Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
Ok, I'm starting this now. But just so i understand the dynamics of their relationship, when do they start to…
For ML, early... for FML, it takes a little while but it's still not slow burn

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
I binged all 10 episodes and this drama definitely lives up to the hype. I’m glad I waited until now to start – the wait between the episodes would've driven me crazy otherwise. The plot is gripping, the cast is amazing, and I love all the leads. But honestly, the twists didn’t surprise me. I had a feeling the assistant/park do jae was the 'master' working with the real son from the start. I also kinda knew that he was the one who pushed the FL down the mountain, so none of that really caught me off guard.

That aside, I absolutely love it. Part of me wishes I’d waited one more week to binge the whole thing, but I’m also glad I started before it ends. If it turns out to have a sad ending, I probably would’ve skipped it altogether. Now that I’ve started, I’m fully hooked on this masterpiece no matter how it ends. I’m hoping for a happy ending, but if not… well, it might ruin the vibe a little. Still, this is hands down one of the best K-dramas of 2024.

Person Zhang Wan Yi Spoiler
张晚意 the Best actor of my 2024, for three masterpies, thanks a lot🫡❣️
Agreed! 💯 Can I ask which dramas you're referring to? I watched both Rise of Ning and Are You the One and I'm obsessed with them. I was going to watch Lost You Forever, but I heard he doesn't end up with the FML despite being the ML, so I decided to skip it. I really want to watch all the historical dramas he's been a part of

I watched two of his dramas, and both were great. His acting is top-notch – he's really good at picking great projects. I hope to see more of his work in the future, hopefully in historical dramas – he really fits those kinds of roles
On Are You the One Dec 24, 2024
I can't believe I delayed watching this masterpiece for so long. This is the best C-drama I've seen so far this year. Personally, I loved this one as much as Who Rules the World and Love Like the Galaxy – they have a similar vibe. This drama definitely deserves more than a 9 rating.
What I love most is the strong and smart representation of women, especially the FML. I absolutely love how perfect her role is – she's smart, gorgeous, independent, strong, proud and possesses the same skills and abilities as the ML. She doesn’t need to depend on him or his protection, and that’s the best part for me. It made me proud to see such an empowering portrayal of women. I loved every bit of it and was obsessed the entire time I watched. I regret finishing it so quickly – I miss them already. This drama is a 10/10 for me!
I really hope to see more dramas like this in the future where the FML are strong and intelligent. Also, I think the tags 'smart female lead' and 'strong female lead' should be included in MDL. I often choose dramas based on these tags, and I almost skipped this one because they weren't listed – but this FML absolutely deserves those tags.

Title The Rise of Ning Spoiler
Finally finished watching it, and it was just great! My only complaint is that I wish we had seen more moments between Duke wei and yi ning. I also wish she hadn’t married so soon and had spent more time with her real family. Other than that, everything was so good—I’m already missing it!

I purposely haven't started watching this yet so that I can binge-watch all the episodes together, but I can't wait anymore!but Is it true that after episode 6, only one episode will air per week instead of two?

Where can I find the correct subtitles for episode 5 in english? And is that the only episode with bad subs
Try YouTube, MyAsianTV, and KissKH. For me, the subtitles were decent in these sites. I didn't have much trouble understanding them

I'm currently on episode 28 and I'm obsessed with this drama. I don't know what will happen in the next episodes, but so far, it has been great. I don't understand why it only has an 8.4 rating. Yes, the brother-sister relationship turning into a love trope bothers me too, but I'm overlooking it because the rest of the plot is so interesting. I love how we don't have to wait until the last episode to see how the good people win while the evil ones get punished. There hasn't been a single boring moment, with lots of plot twists. I love it so far.

One of the best Thai series I've ever watched. The chemistry between the leads is off the charts. Loved the families of both leads (except for the ML's mom). Everything was great. Maybe it's just me, but some of the ML's behaviors towards the FML kinda bothered me the whole time. That's the only flaw of the drama for me. But as it's a crucial part of the story, I'm still rating it 8.5/10. Overall, it's a great story.

Im sorry did you just say the ml's mom was more tolerable in the Chinese version?? It's funny because for me it…
Yes she was very annoying but wasnt she little bit better than the one in korean version? Its been so long since i watched the original..so maybe I'm not remembering it right but as far as i remember the one in chinese version didnt bully the ML as much as the one in korean version..although mom's role in both versions were equally annoying, i think i was more pissed with the mom in family by choice.

I loved this drama and felt so empty after finishing it. This was like my comfort drama. I didn’t want to compare the two versions, but as someone who loved the original, I believe both dramas are great in their own way, each with its own strengths.

For instance, I loved the 2ML more in this version, especially his separate love story. I also appreciated how the 2FML liked him consistently without going back and forth between both male leads. That storyline had so much potential in the original, so it was very satisfying to see it fully developed in the Korean version.

I might be in the minority here, but I liked the FML in the Korean version more than in the Chinese version. She made the dating era feel so wholesome. In the Chinese version, after the leads started dating, I always felt the FML seemed a bit awkward around the ML. While it’s more realistic—since they had been like siblings for so long, and it’s natural to feel awkward transitioning to lovers—it still bothered me how the adult FML behaved at times. Maybe it’s just me, but I loved how comfortable the FML was around the ML in the Korean version, even after they started dating. She was also still caring toward both male leads, despite being angry about them leaving her for 10 years.

The bond between the male leads also felt more genuine in the Korean version. In the Chinese version, when the male leads met after 10 years, they felt like strangers, as they hadn’t kept in touch. But in the Korean version, they had a stronger bond, which I preferred.

As for the ML’s sister, she was very sweet in the Korean version, while I found her somewhat annoying in the Chinese version. So, I liked her role better in the Korean version.

That said, I missed the fact that, in the Chinese version, there were two girls who were best friends with the FML, not just one.Their friendship was highlighted more in the original, and I loved that aspect. Additionally, the 2ML was more accomplished professionally in the Chinese version, as he was doing something he was passionate about. In the Korean version, however, he seemed a bit lost as an adult. In the Chinese version, everything was more detailed, especially the leads' dating era. It was longer, and I feel like we got to savor every moment more because of that. Lastly, the ML’s mom was more tolerable in the Chinese version compared to the Korean one.

Overall, both dramas were excellent, and there wasn’t a boring moment in either of them. It was so good to see Hwang In Yeop in a lead role again, and all the leads had amazing chemistry. I’m really going to miss them!

So, at least in the first few episodes, it’s a love circle between the leads? 😂 FML likes ML, ML seems to like that other girl who's his bother in law's sister—I assume she's the 2FML—and 2FML seems to like 2ML. Meanwhile, 2ML likes FML. I'm on episode 5, so please correct me if I got something wrong

Title Dear Hyeri
The only way you're wasting your time is by commenting under a drama when you "haven't started watching this yet".…
For your information, it took me only 3 seconds to post the above comment. I think it would be right to mention that I didn’t even waste a minute on it since it seemed to "boggle your mind so much." However, if I start watching this drama, it will take me more than 10 hours, which would be a significant waste of time if it's not to my liking.

I appreciate and respect your advice, as it sounds like you’re an elder since you referred to me as "many of your youth." I don’t know about the others in youth, but I am more than capable of making my own decisions without relying on others’ opinions. Just because I was expecting others' opinions doesn’t mean I’m reliant on them. Every person in this comment section has their own life and set of problems; I, too, have a busy life. I don’t have much time for experiments or to try every new drama that comes along. I watch dramas to take a break from that hectic life, so if something upsets me, I tend to skip it without wasting time. I’d rather watch something that aligns with my preferences.

After seeing reels—which I didn’t intend to watch but were suggested to me because I’m a fan of K-dramas—I was interested in starting this drama. However, seeing how sweet the SML is breaking my heart and made me hesitant. That’s pretty much everything I’ve seen: reels showing how badly the ML treats the FL and how nice and calm the SML is toward her. This put me in a dilemma. I was shipping the SML with the FL, so I couldn’t just start watching; yet, it also didn’t feel right to skip the drama based solely on those reels. That’s why I posted this comment, hoping for a response that would give me more insight into the drama so I could decide whether to watch or skip it as I had planned. If I had enough time, of course, I would have started watching this long ago. I used to be like that when I had more time, but now I have to be picky to spend my time effectively. Sometimes, there’s more to things than meets the eye, so I hope you’ll be more understanding next time before reaching your own conclusions
