Can someone tell me how the ML is a prince if he’s not even blood-related to the royal family? I’ve watched up to ep 10 and didn’t catch anything that explains it—did I miss something?
Finished watching it last night, and I must say — this is one of those dramas I had the least expectations for, but it turned out to be so good. When I started, I actually had decent expectations, but the first episode bored me a little. But the more I watched, the more I fell in love with the story and the characters… especially the king. Normally, when the king character isn’t the ML, he turns out to be a bad guy — but this was one of those rare times where the supporting king was such a green flag character. It was a decent watch overall, but my satisfaction dropped a bit in the end when they made the evil spirit seem like a victim. I get that he went through a lot, but that doesn’t justify harming innocent people — even kids and babies who had nothing to do with the tragedy. What bothered me more was that he showed no remorse, yet the innocent king was the one apologizing like he did something wrong. I didn’t like that part. He should’ve gotten some sort of punishment, or at the very least, shown some regret for his actions. Other than that, the story itself was really good. I loved the bromance between the king and Kang Chul! I still can’t take Sung Jae seriously or see him as an immortal though — he just reminds me too much of his character in Goblin 😂 Anyway, it was good overall. Huge thanks to the team who worked so hard to give us this beautiful piece. ❤️
My heart has been heavy for the past few days, and I just realized it's because I'm missing this drama. I can't believe I'm missing a show this much. This might be the first drama I've fallen in love with so quickly. I binge-watched it in just three days and instantly knew I couldn’t get enough of it. My only hope is a Season 2, but countless articles have said it’s been canceled. The actors have already said their farewells to their characters too, which might mean they’re not planning to renew it for other reasons as well. Such a waste... I really wish there was a way for all of us to request tvN to renew it for another season.
Controversial opinion: I don't care if I get downvoted, but I found the top highlighted reviews pretty disappointing.…
Yes, I agree with every word you've said. It's so realistic. No magically skilled doctors bringing everyone back to life like a miracle, or super-talented newbies performing complex surgeries from day one of their internship. I'm not saying they're not good, but what I mean is that every medical drama has its own charm. People should appreciate each drama for what it offers instead of constantly comparing them. Why does one always have to be better than the other? Both can be equally good. Also, this drama mainly focuses on OBGYN, while most other medical dramas cover multiple specialties. That's a big difference, and it should really cancel out all the unnecessary comparisons.
I loved this just as much as I loved HP. Honestly, I don’t think it’s any better or worse. both were so good…
I want a Season 2 because it honestly felt like some things were still missing in Season 1:
1. We didn’t get to see full character growth, in my opinion. The residents—including the FL—only really started improving in the later episodes. It would be so satisfying to see them grow into fully skilled doctors, like we saw in Dr. Romantic. 2. The whole reaction and chaos when the siblings find out about the lead couple dating 3. The lead couple getting married, just like the ML mentioned in the final episode. 4. Sa Bi and Jae Yil’s dating era—I want more of their cute moments! 5. The journey of the lead couple’s brother and sister having a baby—there’s so much warmth and story left there. 6. Chu Min Ha stepping into her professor era at this hospital 7. Nam Gyeong and the intern’s love story development—it felt like it was just getting started and then ended too soon.
I loved this just as much as I loved HP. Honestly, I don’t think it’s any better or worse. both were so good in their own way. Some people say this doesn’t need a S2 because it got closure, but for me, there’s still so much room for another season. It would feel incomplete without it. (I’ll list the things that felt unresolved in the comments under a spoiler tag.) I said this once and I’ll say this again. ending this show with just 12 episodes feels like a crime. I loved every bit of it, especially the lead couple. I’ve been a fan of the ML from the start. he was the most charismatic character for me. Really hope he gets more lead roles soon especially with S2 of Resident Playbook. I’m gonna miss this show and the characters so badly. I’ve had to say two really hard goodbyes this week, and this show helped me get through it. And now I have to say goodbye to this too. I seriously hope tvN renews it. If Hospital Playlist got Season 2 and 3, this one totally deserves it too. 10/10 for me..
Is it true this won’t have a season 2?😭 How is that even possible? I feel like we didn’t get much character development like in other medical dramas, where it usually happens by the end of season 1 and then continues in season 2. If they’re not going to renew it, they should’ve at least wrapped things up properly with some character growth and closure. I dont think one more episode will be enough for that
I knew I was gonna love this so much, and binge-watching 11 episodes in just 2 days totally proved it. I can’t believe it’s ending today—why only 12 episodes? It’s a medical drama, they could’ve easily stretched it to 20! I absolutely loved the romance they added; it made everything even more perfect. I’m so obsessed with the lead couple, but honestly, I don’t think we got to see them together enough. If they don’t renew for season 2, that would be such a waste of all that potential. An 8.5 rating doesn’t do it justice—it definitely deserves at least a 9, but for me, it’s a solid 10/10. And if Dr. Myeong finally gets the karma he deserves, that’d be like 100/10. I’m really gonna miss this show—my heart aches just thinking about it ending today. It’s definitely at the top of my re-watch list now. If anyone hears anything about season 2 or the latest ratings, please keep me posted!
This had been on my watch list for months—I kept delaying it because of some negative reviews. But I finally decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! It was so good—like the total package. Although it wasn't exactly what I expected (I thought the drama would be all about the couple on the poster), it turned out to be even better than I imagined. It actually covered all the romance tropes: strangers to lovers, enemies to lovers,he/she fell first, he/she fell harder, love after marriage... I really enjoyed it and wish it were longer so we could see more of some couples. It's a 9/10 for me. I'm gonna miss everyone so much!
It's honestly as normal as liking a total stranger, in my opinion. Before their siblings got married, they were just two complete strangers, and they probably only met a few years ago after their siblings' marriage. There's no blood relation or legal reason that would make it wrong for them to be together. Plus, so many people end up marrying into the same family — like twins marrying twins and things like that — so two brothers marrying two sisters from another family isn’t even unusual. It's really not even worth making a big deal about or acting like it's weird. Again, this is just my opinion — everyone’s entitled to their own, and you have every right to feel differently!
Is it true that this series won't get a second season? If it’s true, it better have a satisfying ending without leaving us hanging on a cliffhanger. I believe any medical drama deserves at least two seasons because they're so interesting in every episode... it's a crime if this doesn't get another season
Lately, I’ve seen some negative comments about the FML’s love interest. Is it actually someone related to…
Oh that's too bad… From the very first glance, I found him extremely handsome, and even without watching the drama, I started shipping him so hard with the fml. That’s exactly why I wanted to know why they received so many negative comments. I also heard that their real-life age gap is quite big, but in the drama, they’re only a few years apart? 'When the Phone Rings' couple had an 11-year age gap in real life, but no one had a problem with that—people even shipped them really hard. So I wonder why people are questioning the age gap between these two now
