I haven't still completely recovered from the emotional damage happened from this drama. It still hurts like my own breakup. But still i want to give my final review on this drama. I still see people talk about the realistic ending and appreciating this drama saying it is good in every aspect. I don't blame that because everyone can have their own opinions and i also agree this is one of the best dramas I've ever watched. But people talk about the reality here and trying to justify the ending is a joke to me. This is the most painful drama that I've watched. I never felt this much of pain from any other drama. Because the other dramas with sad endings that I've watched so far could be accepted even if they were sad. But this ending is different. It's far from reality. ALL THE BREAKUPS ARE NOT REALISTIC. They were wonderful together. They had this amazing relationship but then they suddenly became strangers to each other. Breaking up in good terms, supporting each other from a distance... These things never made it realistic. What's the point of breaking up to protect love if they can't even be a part of each other's lives anymore. It was clear that they became strangers after the breakup. They just threw this breakup out of nowhere just to make it more "realistic" but why can't they see that breakup is the most unrealistic thing happened in the drama? People use big words to describe the reason. "They didn't want keep apologizing to each other, their support wasn't reaching each other anymore....". Although they used these words to justify their breakup, the reason for their break up was simply that they weren't ready to be in a relationship with sacrifices. After everything happened between them, how could that be a valid reason to breakup? That breakup just made them into strangers. How is that be a reality? Only breakup is realistic? Overcoming problems and staying together is not realistic? What kind of theory is that? Yu rim even changed her citizenship and left korea to permanently to live in a different country. Their situation was lot more harder and more difficult to bear. That should be the relationship where they couldn't see a future together. Because no one knew what would happen next in that relationship. Until yu rim retires, she couldn't go back to Korea and since people hated her alot, she wasn't even sure if she could ever return. It'd be more realistic if they broke up. But still they didn't breakup and continued their relationship. If we look at the whole drama, yu rim and ji woong's relationship wasn't something that special. It was beautiful ofc. But it was something that we all had in one point. But na hee do's and Baek yi jin's relationship was one in a million kind of a relationship. That was the whole point of the story. But a normal relationship like ji woong's and yu rims could survive but not yi jin's and na hee do's? Just because they were busy, they couldn't see a future together. I have lot of friends who have long distance relationships. But all of them are going even stronger than the normal relationships. And my childhood friend is still dating her first love but they're also in a long distance relationship. Then aren't these people a reality because they are still together without drifting apart from each other? When you're young, of course you will have problems. That's the point of having a relationship. It will not be perfect all the time. Until you settle down in terms of career and other matters, every relationship has its own problems. But the relationship is what matters. Of course everything depends on the value you give to each other. If there's no mutual feelings and values, it won't be a successful relationship. But if there's still love and the relationship is still important, then normal people will still endure these problems and try to protect what they have. I still can't belive this whole breakup and the reason behind that because what they had was not an ordinary love. They obviously were in love with each other even the time they decided to breakup. Im struggling alot to accept the whole thing happened and move on. I also loved this drama and whole story was precious. But I must say the ending was very unrealistic and unreasonable and it 100% ruined the beautiful journey they came on. I still can't forget the last scene in the tunnel where they said goodbye to each other. It tore me apart.. They were not supposed to be like that. They meant to be in each other's lives for a long time. I have never regretted anything other than the fact that I decided to watch this drama.
Loved this alot..one of the 2 dramas I love the most in 2022. Im sad it ended this soon 😭❤️ but the ending was little rushed. They added alot in the last episode. They should've easily made it to 16 episodes. Anyway i was heartbroken after watching 2521 . But this made me happy and helped alot to heal my broken heart .I'll miss them alot ❤️😭 Gonna re-watch this again❤️❤️
I never thought i was this attached to that drama. I feel so silly now.. I keep telling myself it's just a drama but why am I keep crying like an idiot? I want to heal myself fast because i don't think I'll be able work tomorrow like this 😭😭😭 but gosh it's hard... Please God help me to move on.... I really want to write my view on last eps but i can't bring myself to do that just yet..
I guess i have no choice but to stop watching it from episode 15..I will never be able to handle them breaking up... It will tear me apart..this is hard but will drop it from here for the sake of my mental health. I still couldn't forget the last scene from episode 15 where they played jaurim's song. Please God give me the strength to not watch today's ep 😭
So no point of changing departments? They still had to break up? I just don't understand. Yu rim and ji woong's situation is lot more harder and they both are each other's first love but if they can keep dating despite all of that, why couldn't they (hee doo & yi jin) protect their relationship during hard times? Can't believe they just gonna break up like that. Im devastated. 😭
It is neither realistic that the first love was failed, nor is it unrealistic that it was successful. In real life, or in this drama, reality is not about failing the first love. This is not the first time I've said this here, but this will probably be the last time. The reality is that living with a good mutual understanding, facing problems, somehow protecting what is valuable and precious to you. In my opinion, trying to protect what precious to you by giving it up is more unrealistic. It does not matter if it is your first love, 100th love or some other kind of a relationship. If someone is very valuable to you, the most realistic thing you can do is try to protect that bond/relationship. It seems ridiculous to me that some people try to make every successful relationship a fantasy and make every failed relationship a reality. I was addicted to this story. Although I love this drama so much, I believe that the attempt to make an unnecessary separation between the leads just to show, "First love always fails and that is the reality," has ruined the value at the end of the story. I still don't see this whole issue as a reasonable excuse to make them separate as they had such a strong bond. I wish people could focus more on their relationship instead of seeing their relationship as another "first love". It's really sad to see them grow apart just like that when they were perfectly fine with each other.
I think it'd be appropriate to use the word "cruelest" to define this drama. It's one of the cruelest dramas I've ever watched. I don't usually watch dramas that might have sad endings. But still I watched this even when i knew this would tear me apart, because i loved the plot of the story i thought I'd be able to enjoy this drama despite the sad part. But still it wrecked me at the last episode. They didn't stop making it sadder. But the fact that i watched this even when i knew it'd be a tragedy, because it's a beautiful story. So not gonna blame its high ratings. But I'll never watch a tragedy like this ever again in my life. It's harder to watch tragedies when we know it's gonna be a tragedy.
In the recent interview, NJH said it'd be fun to watch remaining episodes of the drama. And also he addressed the infamous "dead" theory and kind of confirmed he's not gonna die. Now I'm curious about the "fun part" in the remaining episodes
Everyone’s saying “it’s realistic” bro I don’t want dramas for reality, I watch them to escape reality.…
Exactly my point. Don't know why people are obsessed with the "reality" even in the dramas. 🙄 I've been watching kdrama over a decade now and was fine with so called "unrealistic endings & stories". More than fine actually. They kept me going throughout the shitty "reality" in real life.
I am sorry but what is the point on showing the romantic development between NH and YJ to not end up together,…
They will somehow throw this breakup to make it more "realistic". I hate the word "reality" now because I know that word is gonna ruin the last episode of this wonderful story. Screw the real life. We want the justice to what we've witnessed in this story so far. Just because they somehow break them up within last two episodes, doesn't make it realistic.
I have been saying that i am ok with whatever the ending is and believe it will stay as a wonderful story. But,…
I don't understand how they protect their love by breaking up. It seems they haven't been in touch with each other at least as friends after they broke up. Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. 🙄
Idk, this sounds less like the show failed the purpose they had for the story and more like they failed the purpose…
Even though I used word "purpose" to describe my view, i didn't mean that was the main purpose of the whole story. What you said is true. This story is about Na hee doo and few young people who had to deal with different challenges in their life. What i meant is, it'd be more meaningful if they could show us na hee doo and Baek yi jin overcome the issues they had to deal with as a journalist and a subject and keep their relationship stronger instead of ruining it in the same way they ruined the friendship between mom and coach. For me, repeating what happened in the past again is an attempt to prove "there are no such things as strong bonds and relationships, when the reality hits, everything will be ruined no matter how strong they are" or "No trust, love or understanding can save a relationship when people have to face obstacles in reality". I think they could've done better if they didn't try so hard to make it so "realistic". Again, I'm not talking about a happy ending here. I just think if they ruin the relationship between main leads because of this "reporter - subject" issue, it won't just make any difference. That'll just prove, they were also failed to keep their personal relationship because of their professional life. This is just a part of the whole story line, but that part is also played a huge role in the entire story. So in my opinion, instead of ruining their relationship, it'd much better if they could make it work. It'll give good closure to this whole issue.
Honestly I'm annoyed by tvN & theteams handling of the drama this week. It's like they don't trust the viewersresponse…
If this whole synopsis thing is true, im disappointed in tvN because of numerous reasons. Not only they have completely ruined viewer's curiosity and the interest but also they have failed to rely a meaningful message from the drama because they invested too much into "reality".
