Pearl Harbor

This probably might be the weakest character Park Min Young ever played. Ha Kyung's character is very poorly written. Writer had established that
1) Ha Kyung is someone who is super cautious, who even smells water before drinking but she is in love with some whom she just know from a week. (Even Shi woo likes her. I mean before this they both had a messed up breakup and i don't know when did they have time to fall in love)
2) She might not be a heavy drinker or a first time drinker but she is not someone who would kiss anyone after few drinks. I mean she just kissed Shi Woo after drinking and bitching about their exes. Does that mean, she would have kissed anyone in that situation
3) She said she wouldn't date again from her work place because we know she is the victim of that but again she is dating someone from her team.
4) At this day and age technology is everything. Her job requires her to analyze many data sets and uses advanced instruments to forecast weather but she accidentally video called him and didn't know how to hold the camera...lol..i mean, these small small character flaws have become too obvious to ignore.
5) Her job needs to take decision quickly ,so many people are replying on her but all she does is lets wait and observe. Writer has made her look like a fool.
She talks and does totally contradicting things and story is not offering anything new. Its same old same old. Now even the makeout scenes have become super bland.

For me in a drama where either ML/FL is rich and the opposite person is poor and the poor one tells this to the rich "OUR WORLDS ARE DIFFERENT, WE DON'T BELONG IN EACH OTHER'S SO IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO GO BACK' i feel like laughing. For me its just insecurities talking. Here Gorya just punished Thyme for being rich. She didn't even try to understand or fit in. She just saw the glamour and sparkle and her insecurities kicked in and she just pushed Thyme away. I mean we all know that the leads are gonna get married, i wondered how she magically fit in then...lol

I didn't know Kang Daniel's presence is so soothing. I mean I just knew he is an idol and nothing else about him like I have never listened to his songs nor seen him dance let alone act. But his acting took me by surprise ( in a good way). He is really good and there is something about his face or his appearance which is very calming. I have this small smile on my face whenever he comes on screen. I want to see him act more in the future...... rooting for him

I don't know how old you are but you are absolutely wrong about people's behavior is almost fixed after 20 and it will be more or less same even when they are 30.
I am not the same as when I was 28, now I am 32. Even though 28 is old enough to be mature but now my 32 year old self think no I wasn't. Just think they are almost 39, so the amount of life experiences they have. There is no rule book in the world which says you have to behave in a certain way at certain age but you yourself is going to behave your age unconsciously. When they 1st announced about this drama about 3 friends who are in their late 30s and also the actresses who are portraying those roles are also 39s, I was like now actresses atleast know how the characters must and should feel as they are of that age. But I guess I was wrong.

I thought it was weird, i mean love story with a highschool kid. I thought they would be more like siblings.......dropped it

That's what right, so whatever they do like going on dates etc are useless because he is anyway not going to remember .so he will remember how she betrayed him again by not showing up and eventually he met with an accident

Only 2 episodes are there, they should have focused more on cha young min's surgery and once he gets up, he is not gonna remember anything.....they should have focused more on how they are gonna make him remember this, there are 2 other coma patients left out...they should have focused more on them.

Nobody is saying she is two timing, all I am saying is writer dragged it more than needed. It has been established that both sejin and cha young min still love each other, they should have left with that.

Oh my GOD!!!!! What unnecessary bullshit towards the end, now it is no fun. I mean, it looks creepy KST and Dr. Jung. Even though cha young min possess KST but still the face and the body is KST, how can Dr. Jung have feelings, i mean she will be seeing Seung Tak's face right.....ewwww....writer screwed this up.

I finished it now but little confused. Will there be a part 2 to this? because that cannot be the end right? It was not at all definite

To this personality, add love to this....what a golden combination. She is going to use all the knowledge of ML and climb up the ladder I guess. When she was answering the question about decrease in the temp, I thought she would mention that ML did all the work and would give him the credits but looks like she hogged all the limelight

Your reply is really sensible. Exactly, hailstones are actually dangerous, it can badly hurt people when they stand in out. She gave lecture on how much it would cost if the warning was wrong, very irresponsible. Like you said I was really happy when shi woo gave her an earful. Also, I was thinking about this when I catch my boyfriend red-handed in the act, how would I react. I would feel betrayed, sad, angry basically all the emotions at once. She didn't even slap him then. She bursted in the office, so obviously considering his personality it is only going to become worse. A genius and an experienced guy is below her, I think it is really unfair. They should have promoted the other guy and kept her as deputy. When she asked shi woo "how did you smell the ice ", I literally paused and laughed at her ignorance. I mean, really amateur question. The way he was analysing, even she should be doing the same and aware of the method. I don't know what she wanted to achieve by keeping heaps of books on her table. Really dumb

You echoed my thoughts. FL is sassy or rude or stuck up for no reason. I felt writer wanted to give her a badass personality but her mistakes at work which not even an intern would do proves she is far from sassy. I know it's only 2 episodes but these initiall episodes are there for a reason. They are the foundation for the upcoming episodes. They are foundation for all the characters personality. It proved she is bad at her work but still she was promoted to the director's position. She sucked as a team leader , what good she would do as director. So writer contradicted about her character there for me. Sassy but bad at her job....as the drama progresses she might become little chirpy like him but I guess she would still suck at her job. That Siberian ice was shi woo's discovery but she took credit, I mean she tried but she was far from finding the cause for the temp drop and the way she asked shi woo was very noob ..... I mean what I want to say is FL 's character doesn't stand out at all. I mean, any girl would have given back if she had caught cheating on her, I don't see a big deal about the situation how she handled the situation. It doesn't mean she is badass.

I am only stating out the facts because she is the main lead here, if this was some side character then i wouldn't even have given it a thought. It had been a long time since her last drama so i thought she would have some impactful character here. Apart from being cold (i don't know for what reason though) i don't see any significant character trait here. My expectations were alot...so this has nothing to do with weather industry.... this is just about Park Min Young's character.

I really thought Park Min Young's character would be very significant and a meaningful one but so far what i see is even though she is a director she actually knows nothing about the weather. Even though she spends hours in library but cannot come up with a reason for the temp decrease or earlier hair storm warning(Director's experience matters a lot). Writer desperately tried to show that she is a cold character who goes by the book, even if she goes by the book still she is wrong lol.....Her only standing point is she had a cheating boyfriend but leaving that fact aside her character doesn't stand out at all.

They only have till ep 4 so i have found this for ep 5-8....i know it is off, but i am too hooked to wait till the decent subs

I so wish even this drama forum on MDL becomes like other forums where people are discussing about the plot, their fav characters, how they hate the antagonist and so wish to see him go jail etc...because currently i am watching ep 5 and i cannot emphasize enough how interesting this drama is. So far i have seen kdramas focusing on police detectives or prosecutors or lawyers or judges or doctors or even drama PDs, this is the 1st time i am seeing something about Tax officers and NTS of korea. I must say the writing is very smart. Each episode keeps you at the edge of your seat and this kinda thrill i have only felt in either murder mysteries like serial murders show or bank robberies show, but this has none and still engaging.

In ep 2, when he was sitting next to his friend in the hospital and was telling him to wake up while crying, I laughed like crazy. Oh my god!!! One of the fakest acting I have see. Like how kids do acting for skipping school saying they have stomach ache and you can make out that they bluffing. I felt the same thing here. His friend is unconsciously lying on hospital bed but ML 's emotions were like i don't know how to say, very poor acting
