I don't know how to feel about this drama, like most of the dramas these days even this drama started out strong but around ep 5-6, it became flat and boring. I was so excited when i read about the synopsis about how profiling was 1st introduced (though fiction) and how they could make a huge difference in the investigation of a crime. Again, i was very disappointed that Profiler analysis didn't make much difference in catching the criminals. Go Young Chun who was a very ruthless, notorious, cautious killer got caught just like that. I mean, he didn't get caught during the act but someone reported on him and he got caught....i mean, this was really hilariously unbelievable. On the other hand, this new murderer who is using camping knife, kitchen knife to kill people is not getting caught despite of having a clear cut sketch. To catch Go Young Chun, police had put out an ABP of just his back on TV but here they have a clear picture yet they are not doing much about it. I know Profiler's job is to analyse but here the analysis seem really vague. Now Ha Young trying to enact the killer is also so out of place. As i am already in ep 9, i guess i will just finish it.
Disagree. F4 Thailand seems to take the most influence from the Japanese version. I love the Chinese version,…
I have only seen Chinese and Korean so I can makeout how similar is to Chinese and not so with Korean....again, I haven't seen Japanese, so I cannot comment on it
If you talked about 2018, I beg to disagree. The storytelling is reallyy different, the vibe (one dark and one…
I said closely and not entirely, lol. I felt they have rearranged the scenes from the Chinese version and now it made sense. Obviously it is not frame to frame copy. Script is made relevant to 2021 and to suite Thailand. In Chinese obviously there won't be any bullying nor gay content. Leaving that apart , I feel the gist is the same. I have not seen Japanese so I cannot comment about it. But I know there are 2 seasons of Taiwanese BOF and it's full of angst. Korean also more or less same. In a week I have seen Thai version again from ep 1-10 and full Chinese version to make sure. I felt they are closely following
"this card looked nowhere close to the original one"Yes, correct. This card is a crappy imitation of the Red Card…
Its just that, she didn't even give him a benefit of doubt. Just go back and watch the scene near stairs where Talay told her that its because of yesterday's incident that made Thyme gave her a red card. I know there were bullies out there looking for her but still, even there will be conflict in her head right that how is this even possible. She didn't even flinch and accepted that Thyme gave her the card. Most irritating thing is even those 3 bully girls thought for a min this doesn't feel right or something is fishy. Gorya didn't even have any second thought. Anyway, she is going to know the truth in ep 11.
"this card looked nowhere close to the original one"Yes, correct. This card is a crappy imitation of the Red Card…
Thanks for breaking it down, but it is the same Gorya who kicked Thyme's ass infront of everyone when she was cornered. Just to prove your point don't make her dumb. She is totally capable of protecting herself. Obviously cannot go against many bullies but If it is 1:1 then she is very capable. This version of BOF is very different than its predecessors. Gorya is shown as smart (she got into the top high school with full scholarship), hardworking (she has many part time jobs), caring (as she stood up against Thyme to protect Hana), strong ( when she kicked Thyme twice and Tesla)....so again don't degrade her
I just wanted to add a few random thoughts to the discussion about Gorya siding with Talay:1. What would she gain…
Okay, let me add to your points. They have not showed what Talay told Thyme that riled him up because the camera was focusing on Gorya calling the security. Also, they will show in future episodes that Thyme would be totally innocent and Talay would have fell on his own to frame Thyme. The problem is she didn't even let Thyme finish his sentence, before that itself she shun him out. I don't know what is there to overestimate in Thyme behavior where he was ok with catering to bully's and now he is giving piggyback to Gorya's brother. If this is not an improvement then i don't know what is. By Hana's incident she should have known that not everybody sweet talking to her is her well wisher. Everybody, literally everybody approaching Gorya is for either for Thyme or avenging against Thyme (including Lita), so basically she has no true 'friends' 'friends' except for Kaning and F4. From the time she had met Talay, he had made many statements which raises red flag and he is always riling her up against F4. By now(Ep 10), she is very good friends with all of F4 (they even helped her resolving Hana 's situation and clearing her name from that bar). If she has trust in Thyme then she should have trusted rest of the F4 members that they wouldn't give out red flag to her.
I see that now at this point of time audience's opinion is majorly divided between How Gorya didn't trust Thyme at all and Why Gorya didn't Thyme at all. I feel, after ep 10, there should have been at least little progress with respect to 'Trust' leave about having feelings or liking each other. As many said below and even I felt that there is no progress in this category (I felt as if i was watching the same episode as Tesla, because she was equally harsh here in defending Talay and accusing Thyme)
1. We all know how Ren's character is, i mean he is aloof, introvert, doesn't express his feelings much. Gorya understood him by just looking at few of his sketches that how much he likes/loves Mira. How she persuaded him to try one last time before giving up. How she ran to the rooftop when Mira's relationship with another guy came on news. His tears were more than enough for her to breakdown and cry her eyes out. What i am trying to say here is, though Ren didn't share anything about his personal life yet she was able to understand him to the dot. Thyme's character is totally opposite to Ren's. He is vocal. He makes sure people know whom he loves or Hates. He is been very vocal about his feelings for Gorya from the get go. He has told it loud and clear that 'only Gorya can change him/ or he has only changed for her'. Thyme of Ep 1 is not the same person as Thyme of Ep 10. Nobody is justifying bullying here, but he himself has recognised that and shared why he did what he did and promised not to do it again (He cannot change people's mentality or how they should behave). Everybody around him including his mom has recognised this fact that he has changed a lot. Yet Gorya never made any initiative in understanding him better. She never took that initiative. Remember how many times she ran to the rooftop just to meet Ren in the name of returning his handkerchief. That kinda initiative. I agree initially she didn't like Thyme, now they have established the fact that even she likes him. Yet, she never even made a slightest initiative in knowing this new Thyme.
2. It is not Thyme's fault that he is born rich or Gorya's fault that she is born into a poor household. But there are pros and cons to both. Obviously money can buy everything but not freedom. We have heard all the rich characters like Mira, Kavin, MJ say this that how there life is not just theirs. Their life has already been decided by the elders. Even Thyme has told this while having dinner with Gorya's parents that how dinner scene at his place looks like. So again my point being, rich may look happy on the outside, but its like they are living in a million dollar jail. Yet Thyme took that initiative to understand Gorya's surroundings better. I know doing laundry, cleaning, cooking might seem easy for us but he has never done those things before and had no reason to learn as well. Now he is at least making an effort for her. On the other hand Gorya just saw how the 1% of the rich in Thailand's world look like. She googled about some dead billionaire(this was her initiative) and that's it. She gave up. I know she was exhausted by all the part time jobs, also I know that because of Thyme's mom her dad's business went bankrupt. But he also got a private loan on his own, so even they had their fair share of mistakes. If it was Ren or Kaning ,she would have easily called out the bluff that no this person cannot hurt me or cannot give me a red card again. Just because Talay told her that its Thyme who gave , she instantly believed him. I was super pissed at that time. She has got a red card before, this card looked nowhere close to the original one, yet she chose to believe a random dude. Trust is important for any relation be it friendship or Love. I hope this kidnapping incident proves as a lessen not to trust any random people (Hana, Talay, Even Lita is going to lie in the future episodes as she becomes desperate for Thyme {Gorya is again going to believe in Lita's lies, lol}) and help their relationship grow stronger.
not you guys being mad at gorya for not trusting thyme when he literally gave her a red card and made everyone…
Lol!!!! Thyme of ep 1 is very different from Thyme of Ep 10. He has clearly told Gorya that she was the one who changed him and everybody around him including his mother has acknowledged that he has changed. Thyme has made a great progress and improvement while the story progressed while Gorya is still stuck and no character development at all. She still prefers to trust random guys compared to the one guy who is willing to go to any extend to keep her safe and happy.
Gorya needs characters development. She is always back to square 1. This happened in the Tesla arc where we thought…
She never trusted Thyme completely. Lita who came into picture recently knows that thyme is a very good person but sometimes his words are harsh but Gorya knows him from a year and still doesn't trust him completely.
Loved episode 10..It was so heartbreaking..Especially the kiss scene..I do prefer the k and c version more as…
I know right, I went back and watched all the episodes again till ep 10 and this time I was furious. Her trust in Thyme was easily broken by an stranger Talay. This made me think, did she ever trust him or believed the fact that Thyme loves her. When Talay told her thyme gave her a red card, she easily agreed. Even those 3 mean girls knew something was off but Gorya easily believed it was from thyme. Lita has come into their lives now and she knows how good of a person Thyme is. But Gorya just was busy at coming to conclusions. What's the point of saying sorry and commiting the same mistake again ( reference to Tesla's incident)....only one thing can make thyme worked up and that is anything related to gorya, but she just till ep 10 didn't try hard enough to understand the poor guy. What irritates me the most is she understood Ren by just looking at his drawing but not thyme, whereas Ren was never vocal about his feelings yet she understood but she never really tried to understand Thyme, when he screamed at the top of his voice that how much he likes her and can do anything for her
At this point where 70% of the drama is complete and writer/director has established that FL Gorya's character is someone who is tuff and fights for something she believes in, do not hesitate to take risks even though that puts her in trouble...ok, got it....at this point her character needs a development. Every main character had a development by ep 10 (ML/SML/F4 in general) but not FL. I was so frustrated when she blindly believed Talay. After what happened with Hana, she should have learnt this that not everyone who are good to her are not actually her well wishers and not everyone who is harsh wants to do bad to her (ML and F4). I thought she liked ML but looks like she doesn't trust him at all. They have gone through so much together (this should have made their relationship strong) and still she blames him for pushing Talay then we are back to square 1 where she blamed ML for punching tesla. I am in love with the show, rather got addicted but its high time she comes out and prove her love/trust towards ML . Till date its ML who took all the initiatives.
