Then will you say the same for FL's mother, it was her decision to leave her daughter behind with so much debt so its fine...... Thank you....atleast someone is sensible here unlike those teenage toxic commenters who just attack for no reason at all.....From the beginning i had this problem with this FL, i feel a relationship is imbalanced where the guy is giving his all and the girl just takes it and vice versa. Even now when she is back, she is being smug about something and people are calling it as sassy...she is educated today, have a job because ML literally gave his life to earn that money.....commonnn........ She broke into her fling's house, manipulated him in thinking she had lost a job, trying to act strong but needs ML help in every corner.....looks like she will continue to be pain in his butt by trying to investigate corrupt and powerful people and leaving all the mess for ML to handle....He knows to what extend they can go to cover their backs ....... She is the reason for his stress.

She lied because Chen Yi was coming up with different ways to kick her out of the house.

I am not condemning the actors here.,.. it was rather the dialogues or how this led to the kiss was rather bizarre. In one scene, MJ says she can handle such risks, in the immediate previous scene, she was telling CY to call the cops and running away from the thugs. When CY questioned about her safety, she said I dare you to kiss me.... It just rather disjointed dialogues, I have problem with.... I am not looking for logic here, it is not a rocket science, it's just scattered contradicting statements

My bad, sorry ...I still find the flow of dialogues which led to that kiss where disjointed....

Sorry, but how was he a coward...he literally sent those guys who were behind her to their early grave, so how was he coward???

Miao Jing- Pouring her heart out on how she cannot be safe when his life is a mess or ruin.......
Then.....Where did that dialogue come from "I DARE YOU TO KISS ME"
I mean, yeah!! it was intense but so misfit and didn't make sense

In the novel, Tu Li will be kinda f**k buddy of Chen Yi, isn't it?

I hope you see her interviews or her reality shows, her voice is completely different. In dramas, she modulates her voice to suit some persona

Exactly...he went to get the loan so that he can get the gambling den for cheap then he gets to know that his house is already mortgaged and he has no collateral and his loan gets rejected. He argues saying, the house was mortgaged when his dad was in ICU, but the bank guy said, it can't be helped

I have not read the novel so this drama is the source of truth to me. This fairytale world of her was built by him, keeping her away from all the dirt and this swamp won't go away just because she magically showed up and thought she would take him away and it's just one bus apart from a different city. Just because two people like each other doesn't mean they are right for each other. Ofcourse, this dramas ending is already predetermined as this is based on a novel....so, just expressing my thoughts by watching the drama

I disagree to this. I agree he was a victim to domestic violence and it didn't reduce by her/ her mom's entry in his life. His dad died on his own. He gotten involved with gambling to earn more money for her. He also had to drop off of the school because his house was mortagged by FL's mom when his dad was in ICU. In the future also, when she comes back, she will be an auditor and she will be auditing the gambling hubs and gets involved in trouble and he has to again jump into that to rescue her. I hate this trope where the boy in the relationship is the only one giving and the girl is the one who is taking it all in the name of love. So far whatever we have seen the misery that chen yi faces is mostly directly/indirectly because the FL. In the trailer, the adult FL tells Chen Yi that, she came back to the city thinking she could take Chen Yi out of the city but it added more to his myseories. Its always the FL who is the achilles heels for the ML. I am with all the people below who has fallen for Chen Yi, who is so giving and does everything in his power to just to support the FL so that she can have a normal life. But, it looks so heartbreaking unfair and FL just keeps adding to that.

Its ok to accept that a small detail was overlooked... nobody is condemning anything.... No need to over explain ourselves or to others....
