Regarding my comment below, I asked the poster if he trusted the info about the airing date for AnLe and he gave a response:
I go by the airing pattern for Word of Honor. It completed filming in October 2020 and aired after Chinese New Year in February 2021. A similar pattern for Legend of Anle can be expected when it has attracted enough sponsors which should be no problem as it is already the most anticipated costume drama in China due to Gong Jun and Dilbara Dilmurat being the most commercially valuable (good news for brand sponsors) male actor and female actor in China at present. YOUKU does not have any bigger production than Legend of Anle and will want to make an impact after Chinese New Year next year. Gong Jun also has two more dramas lined up for filming after Legend of Anle and needs audience visibility.
I see. Maybe they compressed it? Took out unimportant stuff from the novel?? But even Douban could be wrong? Maybe…
I did notice a BTS that's different in the novel which I have read 2 X. So they could have adapted the screen play to fit 40 eps and that's wholly possible keeping only the key points and narrative. Plus there's plenty of SFX as opposed to speech so screen time is shorter still. Each page of a screenplay equals roughly one minute of screen time. You've heard: 'A picture tells a thousand words or is worth a thousand words'. 40 eps is quite a lot, and if they are 42/45 mins each, plenty of time to get the whole story across. Not a screen writer so I can only guess. By the way there is no screen writer mentioned in the Cast and Credits. Maybe Jiu Lu Fei Xiang wrote both?
Somebody wrote that AnLe will air after Chinese New Year which means after March next year. (so excited!) What do you think? He also said : This 40-episode drama is already the most anticipated costume drama in China because Gong Jun is the most commercially valuable (good news for brand sponsors) male actor in China while his Legend of Anle co-star Dilraba Dilmurat is the most commercially valuable female actor!
So I finished reading the novel. It's really sad and cried every chapter. But one thing is making me uncomfortable.…
Depends on what sort of dramas you like. Did you read both parts 1 and 2? Lots of events and action happened between the MC's and other characters even when they were apart to make this novel very exciting and gripping. Add all the superpowers and magic to the mix as well then you get the best elements of a Xuanhan/Xanxia plot. I found the romance in the novel sad and I cried too but that made it more moving and heart rending; you can't measure it by how much time the MC's spent together. (no criticism intended) If they stick close to the novel then the drama should be pretty compelling. May not be for everybody though.
Omg give my girl reba a brake she did to much revenge ππππat first it was her kingdom now his her…
If Reba takes on Ball Lightening that is also indirectly about revenge; she becomes obsessed in developing a powerful super weapon to kill any enemy combatant in one stroke. This obsession is rooted in the desire to avenge her mother's death by genetically engineered toxic killer bees and get back at those responsible.
Hello still in the process of finishing up this drama but I've seen no one has mentioned it so I will. This drama…
Full discussion about this in the early comments and yes it does hit you in the beginning but you soon forget. No doubt she's endorsing some whitening foundation or something.
These aren't revenge stories but I particularly liked the characters in Detective L, Couple of Mirrors and Ancient…
They look very interesting! A GL one too! I quite like Republican era dramas. ( Have I got that right?) The ML in Ancient detective is a good actor imo.
