I’m convinced that if ML hadn’t shown interest in FL, the Pei guy wouldn’t have given her a second glance, let alone fallen for her. He probably wouldn’t even remember her name. The only reason he cares is because ML wants her, and now he suddenly feels the need to claim her for himself. It’s like a child who ignores a shiny toy until someone else reaches for it. To him, she’s just a prize he doesn’t want ML to have.
So let me get this straight. FL is in her 20's in the real timeline and she was kind of working on different projects or whatever . She went back in time and she is in high school right now with all the previous memory intact and now shes struggling to clear the entrance exam for college. Thats a yikes ngl.
They become couple early on into the drama. Around ep 8-9 and the first kiss is on ep9 which is so early and not…
Billiards is a main part of the plot but as a viewer you don't need to know how the game works or rules of it. All you need to know is if the main characters were winning the games or not.
You could skip those parts if you want. I did watch all the game parts early on in the drama but once it get to competitions and stuff , i started skipping bit by bit.
i kinda get what you're saying. the characters can feel a bit hard to swallow early on, especially with all the staring Lin does. but honestly, it’s not that bad. they become a couple pretty early like ep 8-9 and first kiss on ep9, which is rare for cdramas.
i think the bigger issue is that the show doesn’t have the usual “drama.” no big conflict, no villains, no breakups, no one to hate. just supportive people and a slow burn vibe. for some people that’s boring. fair enough.
but to be fair, once the romance actually kicks in, they’re constantly teasing each other, touching, hugging, kissing, being close, that awkwardness kind of melts. you do see growth if you stick around.
that said, the “mental problems” part of your comment felt like too much. like come on, in the world of red flag MLs and wild second leads, these two are probably the most mentally normal leads in recent cdramas. they’re just introverts. and the awkwardness its kind of the point. thats what changes as drama progress.
also, to whoever else is reading this, please chill. not every reply is an attack. I'm seeing a lot of targeted reply for every opinion here and i’m not here to fight anyone lol. just dropping an opinion and moving on.
just finished this one. gotta say its not for everyone, but if you're into slow burn, low-conflict romance with actual emotional payoff, this one kinda hits. yeah the first few eps can feel awkward (a lot of staring lol), but once they get together, it actually gets really warm and sweet.
not a lot of drama or over-the-top stuff, which i honestly appreciated. no evil exes, no toxic second leads, no dramatic breakups, just two shy people figuring stuff out. kinda refreshing honestly.
some moments def felt too quiet or slow, but it grew on me. if you're in the mood for something chill, soft, and kinda mature, it’s worth the watch. just don’t expect fireworks of different emotions.
also gotta say, the european part of the drama... absolutely beautiful. the shots were stunning, the mood was perfect, especially with the snow. i know most people don’t talk about it much, but i kinda wish we got more of those scenes. i might be in the minority there, but that whole winter atmosphere really stuck with me.
8/10 for me. not perfect, but the vibe was nice. Rewatchable ? Yes if you're in the mood for it.
Can someone tell me when the leads be a couple and is there any timeskip ?? Spoilers are fine. Thank you.
They become couple early on into the drama. Around ep 8-9 and the first kiss is on ep9 which is so early and not common for rom cdramas.
Yes there is a timeskip but not super long or anything. ML had to deal with his stuff before coming back to china and that part was pretty much timeskiped.
