What are the chances of The Winning Try "scoring" some nominations in next years Baeksang Awards? I could…
these days baeksang is more biased towards buzz and popularity than content or quality imo. the winning try didn't have a lot of buzz and the ratings were avg too.
really enjoyed my time with coach ju garam and his boys ❤️ all the actors were perfectly casted and well acted! The days I watched the Rugby team were some of my happiest this year, I'll miss them! 🥺
i think he didn't name the book mangunrok yet when he met her, so he wouldn't know the book she was talking about…
yeah i suppose that's true, he doesn't recognise her yet. but kdrama romance plot wise it might indeed turn out he subconsciously/his soul did recognise her from their past life 😂 since this is a time loop from the looks of it, the king wrote the OG mangunrok in the past too, maybe this time the history will change
the credits are wrong, right? isn't one of the girl friends missing? and I don't understand 5 main roles...
yeah the cast credits are wrong. cha woomin and kang mina are barely cameos. it's netflix's fault tho. they had released initial script reading with these 5 and promotions were centered around them too.
CRAZY THEORY but what if the king recognised her the first time they met? it's obvious now that he wrote the mangunrok, and his message was also most likely to jiyeong in a past life. i mean he is this tyrant king and jiyeong literally bossed him around the first night 💀 what if that's the reason he spared her life and brought her to the palace.
or atleast his subconscious recognises her fosho lol. this is a fantasy romance hey! or maybe it's more fun to have the tyrant king just be amused by this strange women he met, who he then gradually fall in love with again lol? yeah endless possibilities i love this drama! can't waitttt😂
nope, in terms of screentime. just a supporting role/cameo. hardly 5-10 mins in total. but her character set ups the initial floor for the story/romance - so if that counts, then maybe.
There’s something I’ve been thinking a lot about — especially when it comes to actors. When you compare…
honestly he was touted to be big anyway, what with the huge number of agencies trying to recruit him outside his school/uni. apparently received some 24 cards from various companies lol.
but agree he was barely mid in his previous dramas, and has all of us shocked and super impressed now! although i suppose this was just coming yk cuz the industry guys surely did see it. he was still learning and gradually making progress, and this is just his breakout point. but also I think you are right about that *one* character or director. it's like finally finding the correct puzzle piece. it fits!
gong yoo had more screentime than kang mina 😭 Netflix had her in focus during their script reading but she wasn't even part of the main gang. there isn't a lot of cha woomin either!
overall an okay, easy watch. nothing groundbreaking obviously. i realised I prefer a lil more slow burn. anyways, love eunsoo. she's the cutest, especially the scenes with her dad! wish we had more of them too lol. she's so charming on screen and handles comedy super well
oh wow kim jaewon's in this too and apparently paired against goeun (bf in her youth maybe?), we have yumi's cells 3 on the way as well! hope their chemistry is good
the leads are really cute and such a great match! can't wait for the next episodes.
gotta say lee chaemin is impressive! had not a lot of expectations with the whole re casting but he's nailing it. had to come in as replacements at a short notice, with not a lot of prep time for a historical! impressed!
