completed. I really liked Dal Mi & Do San so the ending was satisfactory for me. happy for them. Could be because I already knew who the endgame was, but the SLS didn't catch me thankfully lol. but HJP was a great character and that elevator scene where he checked out the size of his hands almost had me switch sides lol. they could have done better with his character, heck even introduced another strong love interest - would have been lovely to see that side of his.
The first episode was amazing and that bus scene is sure to stay in my mind for a long time. The writing could have been better from about ep10. too many sub plots introduced that should have been handled and tied up better. the writer also kind of lost her own characters at times. lots of great quotes tho. and last ep they tied up as well they could. loved love yeo jin goo's cameo!! love hjp & nds reconciling too. i love these characters.
And they honestly did InJae dirty. she was introduced as one of the leads but even SaHa got more screentime than her! lost potential.
All in all, do san caught my heart with his nerdy, cute & awkward antics and I want to check out 2521 for NJH now! & Hometown cha cha could be my next watch lol.

he is still a rookie but he is a very good actor, pls watch his other dramas. with why her, i personally enjoyed his acting & found it very believable but the writing did drag imo. they developed the main character and villain very well and felt like they added the romance as an afterthought. even the law school team had very little role to play.

yeah same. it's just that the low ratings will deter others from watching it and that sucks.

this drama definitely needs to be rated higher than a 7.8

the revenge plot was plain unnecessary. writing really did go down after ep10/11. edit: picked up again after ep13. the elevator scene aww. and perfect reunion tbh for samsan tech.
although gotta say the writers were just playing with hjp fans after that leap

to the ppl who want to watch this: don't read the comments lol. recently realised a lot of MDL comments are rather biased and represents a myopic view.
I watched the drama unaware of comments & reviews and enjoyed it for what it was. even the relationship between the leads. I found their chemistry really sweet and emotional.

strong start let down by inconsistent writing, and eventually became trauma porn - piling on emotional trauma on the leads for very little payback. the cast did a great job tho with what was given.

my first historical! this drama has all the elements - romance, comedy, political intrigue, mystery, longing you name it!

could have even shown a parallel scene with both of them performing magic. can't believe they ommitted Na Il Deung's scene with the kid. it was beautiful how both of them had that aspect in their lives after Ri Eul.
