yh, It was my first cdrama , at the end i was like, what!? i loved it tho. There's a Kdrama with a similar plot coming out this year https://kisskh.at/58365-queen-cheorin
like, she didn't say "we are dating", she just grabbed his hand while those 2 other pathetic creepy guys randomly…
If they leave it at that and don't develop her character and of those around her more i'll have to agree with you but I'm hopeful that it won't be the case.

1. Old people are often set in their own ways and very vocal about their opinions about everything. I can't speak with certainty for I'm not korean but where i live small town ones are even move prone to give a piece of their mind to anyone listening. They don't accept her because she is a single mom.
2. fair point, but i can see how he would feel that way. I think he meant he loves but also hates her bcs she robs him of the chance of being a kid/ carefree by not taking a stand for herself/ her reputation.
3. Its very common for lonely ppl to feel vulnerable. She doesn't have any other family, even got pregnant to construct one alone in a country that's very critical about it. She never said she never had a friend, just that no one approached her first wanting to know her. If you look at it from her pov its very moving to hear that, even if it doesn't make u bffs.
4 its a small town full of old busybody people with preconceived notions of what a nuclear family should look like.
Yes, she is naive, introverted and awkward. for her lack of close human interaction growing up, but that doesn't make her weak or hopeless. I can see why she would not fight back , she is a business woman in a small community.Making to much ppl angry means losing the ability to support her family. But even so, she stands her ground against the peanut guy and the ahjummas when they question her moral beliefs. Even if she doesn't defend herself loudly there is strength of character in her resilience. Shes not a doormat, and if we are to take the words of the medium , is in fact a tiger. And i for myself cant wait for her to showcase her inner strength more openly.
