I got so confused while watching the drama! Chen Zheyuan has always looked baby-faced to me and he looks so soft in this drama too, just look at those big round eyes! But when he plays the prince, I’m completely convinced, he suddenly looks so manly and dominant and that deep voice combined with his superb acting is amazing.

Right now, they’re focused on clearing up the mess in their individual kingdoms but eventually, the two kingdoms will have to face off. It looks like Xiyang will be the one to trigger the battle.
Talking about Suige’s mother….her mindset of living life on her own terms feels quite ahead of its time but it’s completely believable for a smart and independent character like her, someone who doesn’t rely on men or their power. The drama hasn’t revealed much about her background yet especially why she chose to help the Emperor establish the kingdom. Maybe her reason was to help people escape the suffering caused by endless battles and the hardships of living without a stable kingdom or fair governance. That could also explain why she founded those secret communities Dr. Ling mentioned. She doesn’t want to become the empress because she knows the palace is filled with greed and corruption, the kind of environment she doesn’t want her children to experience or be shaped by. However, she hasn’t realized that everything she’s done might be in vain if there are no good people left in the palace to rule with justice and compassion. With her presence and guidance, she could help her children grow into great rulers, wise leaders who truly care for the people.

With Yixiao as his empress and their abilities combined, they would rule far better than his father ever did. Suige would never allow corrupt officials to live comfortably while doing wrong behind his back not in his palace and not in his kingdom.
