Terrible, terrible terrible movie. I watched in the Village Cinema in Australia. The problem is the lack of 'story telling'.
It just jumps around, and doesn't give you a chance to buy into the characters.
The director is trying to be too artistic and fails because you get no sense of who the characters are and their feelings.
The actors are let down because they just seem too wooden because the audience is just confused as to who is who and what do they feel.
The cinema in Australia could not display it properly because the English subtitles were cut off at the bottom, them they lived it and the top was not visible.
Please, tell the story better and get us emotionally engaged in the characters. Let the actors act.
The director was the failure of this movie.
Chinese cinema is let down by such a confusing and disengaging offering such as this.
"Lighting up the Stars" is a million times better than this movie.
