Oh my gosh, so glad that you included Ran-it's my favorite Asian film and one of my favorite films of all time.

Agreed-it looks terribly cheesy but the manga, anime and all 4 Asian versions were as well.

I'm really surprised at how much I'm enjoying this-both sets of parents are super annoying and the female lead looks older than the male lead (although they are supposed to be around the same age) but they have chemistry and the story is interesting.

We finally get a male lead that isn't an arrogant, cold, selfish jerk and I end up shipping the main girl with the douchebag second lead-this drama is making me go insane and not in a good way.

I haven't seen that yet but I will definitely add it to my list :)

I love Shutter as well, some of my favorites are Phobia 2, Noroi, I Saw the Devil, The Host and Dream Home. I am about to watch the last episode of Secret and I'm super excited

I watch Japanese, Taiwanese and Chinese dramas too but mostly kdramas. I hope for a great ending for Secret as well, one of the best kdramas this year

I actually completely agree with most of your thoughts except the cast-I feel that it is really quite large, unnecessary and drags the plot. I also feel like the first few episodes in America are terrible and you're better off just watching some clips of the main leads together and skipping the episodes entirely. I am enjoying the drama more as it progresses but it's still far from being great.
