Everyone is so fixated in finding out who "Big Mouse" is but what if these were all just interconnected stuff of the different drug dealers and swindlers? What if there was really no Big Mouse because honestly, the stories about him/her/them feels made up, lost, and kinda silly? Like those rumors about Area 51 or something.
What if the "Big Mouse" helping Chang Ho is just taking advantage of the situation like Chang Ho too? The Mayor maybe? Or Jerry too.
I hope whatever it may be in the end, it would be written/layed out properly.
Assuming that what you said about lecturing communist values is true, that's for historical dramas. You watched Legend of Fuyao so you should know that historical is different from Wuxia, Xianxia, or Xuanhuan. This drama is Xuanhuan just like Ever Night. There are actually not a lot of Xuanhuan dramas but there are a lot of novels.
Aside from the premise, the cinematography/screen writing is also very similar to cdramas (Wuxia and Xianxia).
You really are biased to Kdramas I understand of you're just trying to defend it over the hate but you hating on Cdramas won't help at all. I was just stating my opinion so don't try to force your opinion on other people.
than xianxia, ββthis drama reminds me more of wuxia drama(ex. the legend of condor heroes 2017). The plot…
I think it's between Wuxia and Xianxia. Wuxia is for martial artista and Jianghu while Xianxia is for cultivators and Taoism. This drama uses the term "mage" which can use some elements in both cultivation (alchemy/water bending/soul switching) and martial arts (that sword thing in ep 1).
Edit: On second thought, it might be Xuanhuan since it is fantasy but with no Immortality, Taosim, Jianghu, and Cultivation.
Even though there are obvious similarities, they will never say it is inspired by Chinese drama or anything related…
True. I commented earlier that it felt like a Cdrama but I think a lot of commenters got triggered? Like, I was just being honest. The set, the costumes, the hair even the way of writing is very similar. I personally don't have a problem with it.
The ones who kept saying that this is not a reminiscence of a cdrama probably have not even seen a wuxia/xianxia cdrama.
cdramas don't own this genre other countries can produce it. i can say this too isekai originated from japan but…
Well, the word isekai originated from Japan but we don't really know where that gente originated from. I read translated Chinese light novels and the term they use is "transmigration". I've also seen A LOT of manhwas (korean comics) who use isekai.
I won't say that yet. There's been only 2 episodes and I've seen Cdrama that I would call masterpieces. With that being said, it doesn't deserve a 7 rating.
I technically don't think so. But even if it does so what. Like watch it for the storyline. If you don't want…
I fine with it? I love Cdramas and I don't have a problem with AOS. I don't think it deserves the hate but then again, I'm just an international fan who is an avid consumer of dramas/series/shows.
I think this drama may be more meaningful for slightly older viewers. To me, this drama is about human relationships,…
I'm 19 and I really liked this. I don't know if I belong to the older viewers but I think it's not about age but rather open mindedness. You have to see life as it is and appreciate platonic relationships to get/enjoy this drama.
The MCs are definitely soulmates. They like, care and understand each other. They would do the best that they can to help the other. This drama shows that all this is possible without romance which I really appreciate. I also really like how they showed that you can be a good person even with flaws that you personally think makes you a bad person.
All in all this drama definitely stands out and it was executed beautifully.

Edit: And Narnia too!
