Yeah! I was seriously wondering what the movie wanted to tell with that ending... There was much.... but too less to grasp any meaning :D
Guess i'll have to think about this for a while. Otherwise i'm going to continue thinking "wtf" :D :D
Thx. I'm just a bit surprised by the genres-description- because the poster looks more like romance. But i thought maybe it's just my wishful thinking :D
Hope you're right ;)
The age gap between the two leads is no joke! The girl is like 15 and the guy is 32! YIKES.
Well... in the anime he looks like 40 and she like 12... i guess we can be happy it's not a bigger age gap... (don't forget: they're actors who're about to play anime characters :D)
My explanation is, that Lee Jae Wook was trying to get his revenge by spreading the virus everywhere. (With his reasoning he probalby also has an explanation for that).
Ri Ta went to Kochenia and gave the girl the doll alone because it would've been obvious, that Ji Sang didn't age. She wasn't really alone there - she probably went with Ji Sang to take care of Jae Wook and his new vampires. That explains why Ji Sang was there as soon as something happened and Ri Ta didn't seem suprised to see him.
[For a moment i also considered that RiTa became a vampire, because of her black clothes and that she wasn't really scared to be chased by the vampires. And then she met the reincarnation of Ji Sang. But this doesn't really make sense, since the little girl didn't age since the last time we saw her in the picture. So i prefer the first explanation with Ri Ta and Ji Sang going around the wolrd and using the cure against vampirism]
Doesn't anyone have the feeling that the ending was too open?? They rushed through the plot and i'm seriously…
Guess we thought the same? :D
The name of the webside though - secretsecretisland XD
And wow - there're questions answered i didn't even think about o.o - I'd have loved it if they had included some of those scenes... But i guess the money aspect was quite the problem...

They rushed through the plot and i'm seriously thinking that they may have cut some episodes... The side characters were just left as they were. I mean we can think about how they -would- act after all this mess... but still... The decisions of the side-characters weren't even explained or just left open. At some point i didn't even understand them...
I'm for Healer 2 :D I think another 20 episodes would be enough to explain everything ;)
I marathoned through this and am already having withdrawal symptoms... This drama was just too good <3 (with a bit more information at the end i'd say 'perfect!')
I decided for myself, that if she'd die at the end i'd hate the writer/Producers etc..Whoever is responsible for her death.
What kinda message is that??? Like: "If you've done something wrong at least hope for a meaningless death?" No, those people need real forgiveness, which is shown through a meaningful life!! And what better way can you show this through, than through a drama?
What she's done could happen to everyone. You can't watch over your child always. It's not like she ran away for good. She returned and was struck with grief when she learned of her childs death. Paired with depression and overextension it's really society that's to blame. Also, her father even killed himself beacause of the shame? WTH?
Who knows if she had postnatal depression? And nobody cared about it? I think the real issue isn't even touched.
I really enjoyed this drama. There where a lot of interesting side-stories. But i do think, that the writer wanted to much. It's like he wanted to give an insight into japans society through this drama.
I'm sorry for the negative comment. It's just that i really hoped for an happy ending for all involved parties. I was really shocked in the last few seconds. I was even thinking: "No, it's a joke. Since her mother joked about her death so easily she plotted something with her to show her affection to masazumi. She's going to open her eyes every second now... now... now... *cries*" I finally saw that she was really dead when her mother cried. That was the moment i sat back and couldn't think anything for a long moment. I don't think that's the kind of feeling a story should leave us with.
Thanks for the great article!
I also enjoy watching dramas that issue mental illnesses. But because i have personal experience with some of them i often can't really relate to them. My biggest problem is, that the mc with those problems often get cured just because they fall in love, or face their trauma. Some even speak of 'healing' (Good Doctor: They always talked about how they want to heal the mc... How do you want to heal autism? It's not about healing, it's about getting better! Not that i don't wish about a way to heal people with mental illnesses - but that's just spreading wrong informations and leading to the impression, that it's easy to get out of them. Words like ""just get over it", "it's all in your mind", "stop having a pity party", "just be happy", "calm down!", etc..." are pretty hurtful and start just with those wrong impressions.)
I think one of the best dramas in that aspect was 'It's okay, that's love'. They potrayed his mental illness quite well, (nearly) without falsifying the therapy.
Again: *thumps up* and thanks for the nice words at the beginning and ending of your article! <3
I don't really know what to think about the ending...(+The -extreme- fighting scene at the end didn't really fit…
Your comment makes sense - i couldn't really remember what she said in the car at the end - but i guess it was something along the lines you said ("please come to the wedding") - so i'd say, maybe his extreme fighting was also a way to express his love to his bf which died and he couldn't do anything. So he wanted to make amends for that. And after his collegue died and the sister of his bf got kidnapped he wanted to give it his all to get revenge and save the girl. --- that way he could make up for his inability to save his bf in the present........ maybe maybe maybe :D
Guess i'll have to think about this for a while. Otherwise i'm going to continue thinking "wtf" :D :D
Hope you're right ;)
Even the craziest animes can be great live-actions with the right actors.

Ah yeah - you said, that this drama doesn't have anything to do with City Hunter? What's it about then? ö.ö
(Btw: It seems the link doesn't work anymore.)
