I find it funny but then I remember an interview where he told that his real life girlfriend left him to go with his best friend and I'm like... I hope you were just joking because OBS, if not... jfdhjsdf and well, since that video everytime I see his sad face I wonder if he is remembering his real life story.

Nope, the whole scene can't be a flashback because we see him reading the letter, and that letter appeared with his mail in episode 11 so we know it is a new letter.
The one that we can read is about studying there which is weird when he is now a relatively famous 30 y/o artist.

What I'm thinking is that the past is repeating again with an offer for him from France asking to go there for some temp (night exhibition?) and grandma fall ill so YS can't go with him. I guess YS'd try to do the same: break up and let him go (honestly I hope she don't try the break up again because we already had 11 episodes about what happened with her choice).

They should not break up again mostly because what we saw in episode 11. And what happened with both of them after the breakup 5 years ago. I mean, it was the point of 11 episodes, right? to realize that they didn't want to break up, they love each other.

But we'll have drama. That letter about studying in France means that the past is repeating again.

The new breakup could be something about that letter we saw in ep 11 and again in the preview. It is about studying in France. It's like what happened 5 years ago.

Ah I didn't mean it as they are actually cruel. What I tried to say is that leaving him alone in the anniversary when he was abandoned is not a good idea. I'm sure that they have a reason for that (they are a great parents) but couldn't it wait a couple of days?

Can't see as a good idea leaving CW alone the anniversary when he was abandoned, honestly. If they had a kid before I wonder if CW even knows that.

Something is missing about his father/family. I mean, his parents went to the countryside the same day it happened (well, anniversary) isn't cruel?

btw I thought she would be the one telling secrets first. I knew he wasn't being sincere and he was also hiding something.

He shared everything with JW until now. Really, if he has another "genius idea" and does that I'll flip the table 😂

6 more eps... I guess they won't be back together until 15 or 16.

I honestly think that he saw that she is showing her hidden side now to another person and those archives are stored in JW's disk. I wondered in ep 8 when it was raining if he went to see her and ask something... why did he kiss her? was he jealous? (remember that before the kiss the ahjummas asked JW about his girlfriend)

After that "let's be friends" idea I hope he doesn't push JW to YS.

How I wished her story was about being friends with all of them instead of this crush thing. They keep repeating "you don't have any friends" to YS, CW and NJ. They can be friennndsssss

I'm sorry, had to say it because almost everyone here seems so negative about his character.

That's great because if he said again "next week is fun" (he said it for eps 7-8) that means that we won't have a misunderstading/drama about dating NJ or JW doing something.

I actually don't think JW will try to date her and ruin his friendship. He already knows that he doesn't have any chance with her. I wonder how is he going to close his story because I don't think its a good idea if he admits it in front of CW or YS as he did with CR (actually that scene is great because we know that he is not an asshole as so many comments here are saying about him, he knows that what is feeling/happening is bad for him and for CW).

Wanted to say that you're not alone! I'm loving this drama so much because it is realistic.
I can understand that some people may not like it because they want a "fantasy story" where everything is easy because they have enough with real life, tho, but with some comments feels like we are bad people or something because we are enjoying this.

Unpopular opinion: I actually feel like they are progressing so fast.

Is not the first time I see it. What I'm asking is what pushed him to go up there and kiss her because what I was thinking that happened in ep 8 was actually what happened in ep 10 (that is if I'm not wrong... being aware of JW liking her). I can understand why he decided to do it.
Does he know she likes him too? In ep 9 he says "I'm not dating you again", because if he knows and he kissed her he is being a bit... ehh.

At first I thought that he was a bit jelly seeing JW near her but after ep 10 I don't know what to think. I mean, yeah he clearly likes her but isn't it worse in his situation to kiss her? I can't understand what happened there or what pushed him to do it. I can understand why he is stopping now and saying "let's be friends" and hurting her (he doesn't know what happened in the past and I wonder if the one that is going to tell him is grandma, mostly because she is the only one that knows what happened).
In episode 10 while watching the videos he sees that she is showing her true self to another person (JW) when it was something that she only showed to him. That scene could be also the one where he starts to think that JW likes her (if he didn't think it before) because those videos were saved in JW's personal disk.

So people, let me ask this after watching 9-10 and his move about "let's be friends": why did CW kiss YS in episode 8?

I agree. JW's story should be something like closing that part of his story and moving on with another person,perhaps showing that sometimes he was reminded about something that he liked from his first crush, that's it, not still liking YS.
As for NJ I can't even think positively about her right now. I feel like she is interested in CW just because he is not after her neither being an asshole. Feels like she is like a capricious girl.

I really hope that both second leads decide to help them.

Thing is that she was already working on it but then CW said "let's be friends" and stopped her. Add to this NJ. From the preview we know that the gossip is "NJ is dating CW" and YS is going to see it and decide to stop doing whatever she was trying to do and go away, which is also another scene we see: "I can't be friends with you".

There is another problem now, CW seems to know now that JW likes YS, is he going to do something because he realizes he also loves YS or is he going to push JW to date YS? If he chooses the second one, who is going to push CW? NJ giving up and telling him his own feelings or is JW the one giving up and finnally closing his story with her pushing both of them together?

And yeah honestly, everyone here seems to see everything so easy, like... hey we broke up years ago and after years we see again each other, let's date again! yay! Real life is not that easy. I love how they are portraying their story.
Unfortunately I don't like what they are trying to do with NJ and I hope they don't really use that trope (because for me what NJ really needs is a friend, not someone that since he is not drooling after her neither being an asshole she thinks she likes him)

I'm actually quite surprised that her pride didn't appear when he said 'let's be friends'. If I were her I would say 'friends? ok' and then won't see him or say anything unless if he comes to me lol.

She really really loves him, more now than ever. She realized it.

^Grandma was alive when they were filmin but for some reason they never recorded her (or they didn't show it). Perhaps Yeon Soo didn't want to show how poor was or talk about her family or personal life.

When Yeon Soo was telling her past we saw that she was already in university when her grandma collapsed and had to go to the hospital, here is where we wonder if grandma died at that point or not.

There is a problem with this theory because in episode 6 Yeon Soo told us about the debt, then grandma and her had to move and after that scene we see the hospital scene. After that we see the scene about a teacher talking with Woong inviting him to study in other country and this is when Yeon Soo decided to break up. Here is where I wonder if she ever told him that her grandma was ill. He never asked about her, tho, that is why I suspect that she was still hiding parts of her life.
