Join the club! I'm rewatching too with an idiotic smile on my face whenever they are on screen.I'm hoping you…
From what I saw in other xianxia, ML here is warmer towards FL sooner rather than later. More playful? I cannot explain it. I liked Love and destiny ML, although I didn't finished it, I haven't had time (I know, I know excuses - I would say what my grandma used to say but I think it is little inappropriate) but he kinda reminds me of ML here - a lot of things he did were not revenge driven, but out of love and resembles what YY did for YD. One big difference in IM Cheng Yi is young actor but plays mature character, in Love and Destiny - Chang Chen is mature actor
Is there an official moniker to coin YY/ YD or TZ /YD as a couple yet? For those who have access to Chinese platforms,…
I like what subtitlers in Viki named themselves - Turtle-flipping team. I know it is too long for moniker, but even in 10 years I will know who it refered to 😊
Every rating better than 8.0 is excellent. I only rate dramas that I can finish and sincerely doubt I can endure…
I do not get ratings based on CGI and OST. Why all soundtracks songs have to be grammy award worthy? Even good/great OST song can be bad if not used appropriately - right moment or feeling in drama. You can always mute sound, no? And CGI? Some of my favourite movies had notoriously bad CGI but they are still awesome to me (Jumanji anyone?) I do not need dramas to make me ponder on meaning of life and be something revolutionary never before seen. I am pretty simple in my requirements. As long as something makes me forget about my crazy life and makes me laugh or cry with characters (and has happy ending) I am good.
I did not plan to sign up, but after watching this series (not understanding low rating) and reading comments, just had to give my 2 cents. And I hope I can help getting to 10 k comments :D One thing I love most is that we are shown thought process of both of them. I watched too many dramas and read too many books where you can see only one side of a story. And you end up cheering for one character, but hating the other one. Here you can be angry, but you understand why. And another thing - love their acting. I like that you can see their real life relationship esp. in comic scenes - easiness and friendliness
One of the most intense scenes I saw Yang Zi in, and it was fantastic, heartbreaking, but fantastic
