I have re-watched the first episode twice just to get a better idea on who's who, read recaps over recaps just to understand what happened and studied so many character maps and charts to understand the relationships between them...
and I still can't understand what's going on (i'm on episode 10 btw)
EDIT: I also keep seeing people in the comments being like ''Omg I knew it!'' or ''Wow he's so smart' etc and I'm here like ''How can these people even keep track of what's going on?''
I kind of liked the king but after episode 12...seeing him do what he did (I don't want to spoil anything but yeah, those who've watched it already know what he did to SN's father...) I just kind of hate him?
Also, I've noticed that in this drama NO ONE is completely good or has good intentions only. Both Yoong and Yeok are bad for the heroine and are kind of using her but they still love her and none of them has good intentions. I really have no idea who to stan besides the Female Lead. Ughhhhh so frustrating!
Just finished it today and I'm so sad. What am I going to do from now on? This has been such a great drama, it never got boring and there was always something to be happy or sad for. No loopholes, from beginning to end. The relationship between the King and Dong Yi was so sweet and I loved the ending. I'm missing everything, even the antagonists! I highly recommend this wonderful masterpiece.
I tried watching this drama a year ago but I put it on hold after 7/8 episodes. I might rewatch it from the begining and give it another chance. What do you guys think?
People who are bashing her in W should go and watch long dramas like Dong Yi. Her portrayal of Dong Yi who went from being this free spirited girl to being a loving mother is no joke. Even tho she didn't actually age in real life, while watching the drama I could see it in her character.
Okay, I'm on episode 29 now and this keeps getting better and better! The frustration, the happy moments, the sad moments! Everything is well-balanced! This is going to jump right into my favorites list!
I'm on episode 5 and I'm thinking of dropping it. Someone convince me otherwise.
DON'T DO THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! UGHHH! Like seriously, if you go back a few months in the comment section, I was like you! I couldn't get into the storyline at all! But then episode 13/14 came and I was IN LOVE with it. It's now one of my favorites!
I'm such a picky person (just look at my dropped/on hold list which are full of popular dramas) but this one is one of my favorites and will forever be. Even my sister, who doesn't watch kdramas, watched it and liked it.
