Loved the first season so much I gave it a 10, the second one didn't exactly live up to my expectations (which were really high ngl) but I still gave it a 9. But I have to say, they dragged some of the plot lines a bit too much, I'm happy the pace picked up again in the end but still. Nothing will top s1 in terms of writing and pacing, but it's still a great, albeit slow, sequel.
So i don’t mind spoilers but why is the FL lead different? Is it the same character though, just a different…
If you read the synopsis of the first season you'd easily be able to put it together, not to mention THIS female lead appears in the first few minutes of the first season, it's pretty obvious why she "changes" (or I'd rather say "goes back") :)
Is this competing against Reborn Rich around same time? If so, it's tough.
The airing time for Reborn Rich is Friday-Sunday 22:30 (10:30 pm) and for AOS 2 it's Saturday and Sunday at 21:10 (9:10 pm) so not really the same time! This will air earlier so fingers crossed!
The reason the audience are crazy over their love story is (well as a viewer who love the series, I do think the…
I understand that and I knew what I was going into since I already knew the history. I'm just not happy with how it was executed. The last two episodes felt like a completely different drama, different pacing, different direction. It almost felt like a weird montage of "what happened after they got married". I wish they had made her become a concubine sooner, let us actually see them be together in that way...not just skim through their whole life story in 1 hour. I felt so detached from the main characters in those last episodes. They were just too rushed and really ruined the flow of the whole drama. I wish the writers would have written the first part with the ending in mind, because it definitely doesn't feel like it.
This show started out so well and then it started losing itself at some point. All those huge plot points that…
Still can't get over the way they handled the Head Court Lady's evil plans lol. What was that? That woman had been plotting her whole life just for it to lead to nothing in the end. Lol it's almost funny. Not to mention how they wrapped up that whole story. Boom everyone is dead now bye. "Oh wait, my niece will try to assassinate the king again in the stupidest way and....she'll be sentenced to death too. Ha. Gotcha! Now move over to the next episode none of this ever mattered to the story".
At that point I was like ok that was just a waste of time and contributed nothing to the story but I'm sure HDR is our actual villain! Lol...
This show started out so well and then it started losing itself at some point. All those huge plot points that seemed to be leading up to something since episode one led to..... absolutely nothing. Poof. Gone. Sometimes they would literally not show us what happened? Characters started to act irrationally...some of the characters who seemed to be (or were, in the first half of the show) important disappeared from screen, some were only around for like half an episode? Also those annoying time jumps at some point were getting extremely annoying, making the show really really choppy and hard to follow, just for it to DRAG the next episode (I'm looking at you episodes 12-17). It felt like the writers had some ideas but didn't know how to connect them so they were like "let's just make a huge collage of everything and call it a day". Also I was NOT a fan of all the weird redemption arcs? And I'm talking about every single character. I also didn't like how some of those "big" secrets came to light. So... underwhelming.
A good show should make the viewer go like "yeah, I understand why that happened" even when something sad or terrible happens. But at some point I was just like "that literally makes no sense". Every time I hoped there would be more under the surface but there was never anything deeper. Nothing. Actually sometimes it felt like there was even less substance than what it appeared on the outside.
The love story felt so disconnected from everything that was happening in the background. It felt as if NONE of the events that happened had any impact on their love story. It was all in their heads and all caused by miscommunication. I was never like "ok that was a turning point for them!" Guess what? It wasn't. They'll just keep acting the way they've been acting.
I’m gonna miss So Min in S2 …. She’s not going to appear at all ? What’s going to happen with the Jin…
She switched bodies with naksu, I think since naksu'sbody "died"...she'll be dead too? But my theory is that Bu-yeon's power will help bring Naksu's body back and somehow she'll keep living through Naksu. Idk I'm just speculating but that could be a way to have both bu-yeon (mudeok) without somin and also have naksu in her original body.
If they decided to not include jsm in the 2nd season, it would have been better if they didn't make us invested…
What do you mean? The romance is between Naksu and Uk, it has never been about the body she is in. I really don't understand what the problem is here, is it the actors then? Uk didn't fall in love with Mudeok (Bu-yeon). He fell in love with Naksu, regardless of who's playing her.
Came back to say that the show has a high rating on douban as well! 7.7! That's so high especially for douban standards, no wonder tho since the show is amazing!
Also these latest episodes had me on the edge of my seat😭 I miss the mortal realm so much things were so happy 😭 curious to see how they'll wrap it up!
I don’t want a Season 2 and would like a full and complete and happy ending. BUT, if they were to make a Season…
I think it was hinted a few times that Chidi Woman liked him? Not only the window scene but also the fact that her "Mr. Right" in the mortal realm was DFQC...even when she took over Orchid's body it definitely looked like she had some feelings for DFQC. Also when she sacrificed herself the way she was looking at him. That's the vibes I'm getting at least haha
At that point I was like ok that was just a waste of time and contributed nothing to the story but I'm sure HDR is our actual villain! Lol...
