Wow what a turn of events. This drama is unexpectedly good. I was expecting a cute romance story but this has so far exceeded my expectations...i'm officially hooked.
I really liked it. Reading the comments, I didn't really know what to expect. Some said it was bad, others said it was good...I was skeptical about starting this since I even dropped Goblin, Mr. Sunshine or DOTS (you know, those big dramas that everyone seems to love...) around episode 8/9 and was afraid I would waste my time with this drama and that I'd eventually drop it...but to my surprise it really got more and more interesting towards the end! Once I got to episode 10/11 i was afraid it would lose momentum and, like most dramas, start to get draggy...but it was the opposite! It kept me interested! I also really loved the cinematography, the music, the actors! I think I cried so many times (which means the actors did well!) And i feel very sad now that it has ended, i felt a connection with all of the characters and their stories.... and I was really glad the ending was not rushed, they all got they're closure.
If there is one thing i didn't really feel, at least at the beginning, was the chemistry between the two leads...but i'm glad it got better towards the end.
Also, i'm okay with the ending. It made sense to me, so to anyone who is afraid to watch this because of the ending, son't hesitate! It's definitely worth the time!
9.5/10 from me! Now i'm off to watch the Happy Together Special! Bye bye!

Yes although i like Haru a lot i feel like he's just too perfect, while Kyung is such a conflicted character that he makes me wish he has a happy ending :(

What...are you talking about? I feel the actors match their characters perfectly, couldn't imagine it otherwise. Basing dramas off of looks (actually...everyone in here is good looking so idk where that came from) would result in a mess :/
I feel so sad both for Baek Kyung and Joo Da. Baek Kyung is the one who keeps judging others for being simple characters in a comic book yet he seems to only focus on their roles, he constantly obsesses over it, so while he blames others for "being fake" he wishes for Dan Oh to go along with the storyboard, he tells Haru not to interfere with their story, it's kind of sad, how he's in contraddiction with himself almost...idk if that makes sense but i can't find other words right now... Then Jooda, she definitely knows what's going on! You can kind of see it in her eyes, and sometimes there is that weird blurry background effect when they're on "stage" which only happens with characters that are aware of themselves, so that to me is a major indicator that she's aware of herself! However, given that she's the lead she cannot escape the stage since she must have everything written out for her already...so although she's in the spotlight she has no freedom, so from this perspective, being an extra gives you more freedom.
This drama is messing with my heart, it makes me both happy and sad idk what to say anymore :(
This is so good, i was expecting a cheesy romance story but this has everything i want! The romance and the humour are exactly my style! I am usually a very serious person but this drama makes me SQUEAL. I love how they make fun of the cheesy lines and the unrealistic romance while being involved in a romance story themselves. It adds such a nice comedic effect! My gosh how am i gonna wait another week?
The show has been amazing so far. I've watched all the episodes that are out as of right now and I think I may be enjoying this too much lol. I like the cinematography, the lighting is phenomenal and I also love the humour omg.
How you address this as good ending?From what others say FL died at last
well, this is a serious drama, i was not expecting everyone to live happily ever after therefore i was not disappointed...as i said though, i was expecting a different ending for some people...:/
I'm so sorry..I wasn't sure if that would count as tragedy T_T I've watched dramas where the leads die without any reason so i actually liked the idea of this drama, it was a more meaningful death...it really didn't bother me much I didn't expect you to be so let down :( I'm sorry!! It's so hard to find c-dramas with good endings so I actually didn't find this one too sad...or at least i wouldn't consider it a tragedy...but i guess everyone has different views :( I'm sorry you got disappointed :( I hope at least you enjoyed it a little bit! ❤
Well I personally liked it. I really liked the main leads together, the villains were annoying but that's no surprise. I really liked the interactions between the two leads and they're also a real life couple so you know that the romance isn't only an on-screen one but it's actually real...so that's a plus! I know some people didn't like how "repetitive" it was but idk, I really enjoyed it and I never thought of dropping it. It has beautiful colors and costumes, too, and it's pretty entertaining...it's not too sad which is good. Give it a try and since it's pretty long give it a couple of episodes before deciding what to do... it's very enjoyable! i'd recommend it!

Exactly...the ending felt so rushed, so out of place, they gave spotlight to irrelevant characters, they left so many things unanswered...just like in princess agents! ugh such a disappointment

The leads were barely together. They had no chemistry and their love story felt extremely forced and overly dramatic??? plot was all over the place...characters had stupid character growth, they turned from good to bad without any plausible explanation??? WTF.
The ending was terrible. For some it may be a happy ending, but for me it was just a rushed mess.
And why did that freaking Liu Qingwu live? Why? What was the deal witht the emperor at the end? Was he ever even relevant to the story?
The only thing I liked was Dongfang Shi, he really gave some spice to this show that would have been completely BLAND otherwise ... Sorry Bin Bin but your talent was wasted! Austin stole the show for me, but it isn't your fault...it's the writers' fault!
