I've been a fan of Himitsu's anime adaptation for the longest time and this is an AMAZING adaptation of the manga when it comes to the characters and interactions. Though the direction and pacing could've been better, this drama will be stuck in my mind like in all of this comment section. I've become a huge fan of Itagaki, he is SO adorable I just can't!!!
Though this might be an unpopular opinion, I feel like Okabe was such a good sidekick, subordinate, friend, caretaker of Maki. I wish he would stick by Maki, more than Aoki. I feel like Okabe had such a realistic grip on Maki than Aoki's grandiose declarations. Maki seems so much more free with him too. But that's just my opinion :P
I think the reactions to the parents is a bit idealistic, like they should be reported to Japan's version of CPS…
I agree that the parents did not do right by the child and they do deserve some punishment. You're right, it was all swept under the rug, especially by the others adults who knew they were wrong. I was at least glad that Hotaru didn't just end up accepting at first, though the mother should've had to earn her trust more. By being realistic I mean that doing everything lawfully, being right, everyone getting what they deserved doesn't happen in real life. Crimes go unreported, kids are neglected and often times have to rely on kind people around them, adults leave their responsibilities to chase their selfish goals, this is what happens a lot of times. Not everything is going to happen by the book and how we expect it to. That's what I mean by realistic. I really wish at least the other adults around Hotaru scolded the parents for being shit, that would've resolved that part of the story and could be realistic as well :) (also I suggest adding the spoiler tag to your comment)
Watched 3 episodes and honestly the tone is throwing me off. Like do they want this to be serious or light-hearted? There needs to be a balance and this is just all over the place that I just can't take this one seriously. Despite the production quality, the story is lacking any sort of depth. What chemistry? There's nothing. Each episode is painfully long for nothing deep, just same old formula. It's probably decent as a drama but I just feel sad about the wasted potential of the actual storyline. I was really excited after the first episode but I watched 3 episodes and I think 3-ish hours of chance is enough to sit this one out.
One of the best slice-of-life dramas I've watched in a while. Really recommended for everyone. There is a lot of weird storylines but it feels more realistic than an idealistic drama everybody is supposed to be good, do good and be right, this really shows how people can be wrong and sometimes it's not about what's not there but what you have now.
This is a good drama.. It doesn't have a high budget like a lot of investigation type shows but it's entertaining and actually focuses on the cases, rather than being focused on the romantic aspect. It's nice to see a drama with a lgbtq main characters and their daily life is being portrayed, not exaggerating on their romance since they're already comfortable.
Somehow this didn't live upto my expectations. The twists were always the fun part but too much twisting makes it boring. They stopped using character quirks much and there's barely any interaction between the main characters, like Hikaru has taken a backseat and the third character has barely any role. It feels like the formula has changed a lot this season. Nevertheless, will keep following it till the show is finally done xD
This is probably the most frustrating thing I've watched. There have been so many good ones in the past few years but this one definitely sticks out as the worst. I was excited to see Yutaro, only to be disappointed by all the characters. Not a single one is likeable, and the entire story is so lazy. I never felt like rooting for the two to get together and Mahiro deserves someone better. It was charming only in the first few episodes.
This is probably one of the best manga and blcd I've watched. Glad it's getting an LA like it deserves! No expectations from the anime industry, there's hardly any good new ones nowadays.
I got the feeling from the trailer that what Hira is feeling towards Kiyoi is not something as simple as just…
Yup maybe so, hard to judge how the took the story with one episode, plus I didn't read the novel I heard the BLCD so it could be some parts were omitted in it from the next episode pv.. looks like they added some fluff but regardless they did a good job with it.. but definitely Hira's feelings for Kiyoi is different from other bl series as you said
It's quite different from the original material but it has been adapted so well. They made it a lot fluffier than the original, Hira was an actual creepo towards Kiyoi in that and Kiyoi was a lot more brutal.. For anyone who's worried about what happens by the end, it is a happy end. The biggest difference between this and the original is that Hira thinks of Kiyoi as someone untouchable so he doesn't think of his feelings as love but as admiration to something like a god lol
Downloaded it from d-addicts. See the links in the comments below.. it doesn't work anymore but you can put the links in Way Back Machine and download the torrent to it from there. Not sure if the trackers are still there.
The cases are artistic but the case solving is not very interesting.. The characters haven't been elaborated either so it just wasn't very fun to watch
