Anyways my anger dissipated pretty quickly because of that wonderful surprise at the end of the preview of ep.9. Our last 2 HP stars are making an appearance and my eyeballs could not have been mistaken when they saw Soobin and Yeonjun in that mv lmfaooo. That was a wonderful surprise

At least not long enough to be in love with him. So yes this might sound harsh, but legit just go touch grass and reconnect with nature like the rest of us. Your crush not liking you back is insanely common. I promise you won't die. Just cry your little river, build the bridge and I promise you will get over it. Cause goddamit that scene was so unnecessary. You'd think someone died.

I think it might be a plot device they use later. My guess and possibly my hope is that Hun is actually not as clueless as everyone else thinks. He might've taken note of the moment and it comes back later. Or I could be wrong and they're literally just trying to show how Hun needs to be spoonfed every bit of info and has no deductive reasoning abilities. All in all, I think it adds to the plot. It doesn't seem like it was forgotten. Or rather the so-called 'forgetting' is intentional and meant to display something.

I can't even play that card. We all saw taekyung not end up with the one hé first loved in Light On Me. I was team Shinwoo from the beginning but the mental trials and tribulations I went through as we went back and forth between Da On seeming likely to win and then it was Shinwoo the next episode and back and forth. I think that was meant to be how Hill was written. I have seen Pond in other works and when I tell you the boy is a GEM. I nearly fell off my seat when I watched him in 180 degrees and he only got better from there. I genuinely think the actor is not the issue at all, so the only other explanation is the character was written to be flat. don't quote me in that tho 💀💀

Y'all show was cute and all, HillEarth and JoNorth all amaze-balls but TURN THE CAMERAS! I need FAHPHOON YESTERDAY! Whatever happened was happening simultaneously as the other 2 couples' story, right??? Because why were they okay at the beginning but Fah refused to pick him up at the end and this talk of not wanting to be ignored anymore... Yoh! As we're in honeymoon land with our other 2 couples giggling and kicking our feet like idiots, people were fighting in the background without our knowledge oh em gee...
Well I think the first half of their story will take us back in the timeline aka while JoNorth and HillEarth were still figuring their shit out and the last half will be after those 2 couples are already settled aka where we left off at the end of s1. And maybe ThitDao's story will also begin at that point when FahPhoon are at their 'halfway' mark. So same layout as HillEarth and JoNorth

I hate the way this whole ep was carried out. The father is such a tyrant. It doesn't matter if you care about someone if you are going to mistreat them because of it. You rather keep it to yourself. I don't like this nonsense of excusing parents' poor behaviour because they 'care' about their kids. You can care about someone and still be abusive, still revoke their rights, still emotionally harm them. And those effects don't disappear simply with the words 'im doing this because I care about you'. We are teaching kids to accept mistreatment and compliance as a form of care which will utterly ruin them when they're older. Esp since Rak is actually an adult.
1. He is too old to be ordered to do anything
2. His father was being an avoidant and refusing to talk to Rak who just wants to get them on the same page
3. his father was abusing his power by going with this whole my way or the highway approach
4. His father was refusing to explain his reasoning. He just wanted to bottle the whole thing up

Like who is the role model here? Who is the one with a fully developed frontal cortex. And I'm so mad at the entire family for not fighting hard enough. They could've all fought harder but no. It seems the father gets the final say in everything which is such bullshit. I'm not gonna say much on Rak since he's an actually bunny but if it were anyone else, I'd tell them to raise hell. We need to stop fearing conflict and confrontation and fight for ourselves. He's refusing to listen? Make him. Telling you to break up with yo mans? Say no. Monitoring your ever move? Carry yourself out of the house and go wherever you please (and let them know too). This whole ep frustrated me. I went from giggling at RealHia to just having this permanent bitter taste in my mouth for the rest of it. Every time they showed the gate to Rak's house I just felt icky.

Okay hear me out, is it too soon to ask for a s2 that explains LeeGhlai properly or am I just greedy? Because what tf do you mean Ghlai wasn’t just some random side character that was meant to appear only once???? Are yall seeing what I’m seeing??????? Lee is all up in this cafe RIZZING TF OUTTA SOMEONE’S SON!!!!! SO FLAWLESSLY TOO!!!! I feel so robbed. I wanna see that relationship start to finish.

I get where you’re coming from and agree with some of it. Do I think an 18yo can date a 22yo? Yes I do, there isn’t much of a difference there, believe it or not. Do I think an 18 yo can date a 28yo? Now we have more of an issue. I 1000% agree that it is less about the physical age and more about the emotional maturity and power play involved. However, at the end of the day emotional maturity and so-called life experience range drastically within the same age group, let alone outside of that. There’s situations where massive age gaps works and other times, it doesn’t So, how do we generalise something that is majorly case-based? Literally the law.

With minors it is expected that they lack the capacity to consent, regardless of whether the individual actually can or can’t. So we generalise minors as being unable to consent. Adults on the other hand are expected to be able to consent, yes even young adults. So we generalise them as being able to. Is it always the case? Of course not. But majorly because adults ‘should’ have the capacity to consent, no one has the place to tell them they can’t. Which is why there is that legal age of transition from being a minor to being an adult. Ages 18-21 are kinda seen as a grey area though so I will not get into that.

Is this to say that young adults cannot get take advantage of or trapped in relationships or job opportunities that diasadvantage them? No. It can happen but whereas with a minor it is labelled an issue of consent, with a legal adult, it’s not. So what becomes the actual issue here? We cant say, X actor/person is too young for Y actor/person because the question that follows is “are they a minor?”. If they aren’t, no one can say anything to X because it is seen as something that is their choice.

If you think about it even older adults can get trapped in such situations too. It might not be because of age, it might be because they’re working with someone more successful than them in the industry or someone who holds their future in their hands etc. The same thing can happen even without an age gap. Are casting directions supposed to find actors close in each, same level of fame, who haven’t known each other in the past etc and still meet the actual acting conditions required? It’s a long list and honestly, very inconvenient and limits tonnes of opportunities for young actors as well. Working with older actors can help them further their career, can give them mentors and most of them look forward to it too. A lot of actors can separate themselves from their craft too. If they might not even have issues with such and such age gaps, we’re here wasting our energy being bothered for them. It’s not even something that can be raised awareness on because these adult actors can technically speak for themselves. If we want to fight for something it’d be unsafe sets. If one actor is seriously under experienced compared to the other, it is the director’s and intimacy coaches etc. jobs to help make the set safe. If there is a power play and the younger actor is taken advantage of, we don’t raise the issue as an age issue because that goes hand-in-hand with being a consent issue, we raise it as an unsafe set issue because there is a world where age gaps between adults works but no world where age gaps involving a minor works.

I can’t lie, I’d love little throwback moments (from this season) of HillTer and JoNorth next season but with FahPhoon’s story, that’s been happening in the background, now being the main event! Like the same timeline from the other angle. That’d be so cool! Then we have ArthitDao meeting for the first time because so far all the couples already knew each other before. It’d be a nice change of pace. I wouldn’t mind them not finishing GerNao’s story now if they continue it next season as well! I really hope we get a part 2, fingers crossed

Okay honey it’s fine to be creeped out by it, your own personal preference, but understand that this contributes to prejudice. There’s plenty of age gap relationships that work for many people but they’re constantly made to feel like shit because of their age gap. At the end of the day, everyone is a consenting adult in this case so really, the rest of it is none of our business
