I heard about this drama today and didn't care much until I saw Park Kiwoong was going to be in it. I am HEREEEEE for anything with Park Kiwoong in it.
For me it was interesting quirky series. Not as great as the ratings suggest nor any bad either. It left me with…
This. Everyone here seems to be praising it completely, but your comment is the one I most relate to. It's not terrible...but definitely not the masterpiece it's being painted to be. It's a nice watch at best.
It was a bit bland for me. I appreciate how they tackled it from a very this-is-how-life-and-love-at-30-can-really-be, type of way...but it dragged a bit for me. Idk, that could just be me though. Even in real life I'm not much for relationship drama among people I know, so seeing that kind of thing on k-dramas gives me the same kind of feeling...even though I know it hits home for people who really have experienced that. Also, the kind of "I'm impossible to work with and my logic is flawed but that's just me" character of Jinjoo was a bit annoying, because I know what it's like to work with people like that and it's exhausting. Nonetheless, I can at least give props to them trying to show a more realistic, non-glamorous view of life at 30. Also the way they tackled portraying depression was commendable.
Finally getting to watch this with subs! I'm quite enjoying it. It reminds me a bit of The Office (that's definitely what they were going for, but with unmistakable, quirky k-drama stamps all over it). Some parts are slow, but the overall momentum keeps it going nonetheless. I enjoy them tackling IMPORTANT, day to day issues and kinda having a "moral of the day" type thing going on.
Same. Idk how so many people like the character of Hooja. She wasn't intimidating or hardcore for me at all...Miyoung was hardcore. Hooja was just annoying and bratty. I actually wanted to see more of her older sister ,"Number One"...now that was an intimidating character.
This was so damn good I could barely wait every week for a new episode but the way they wrapped it up at the final…
Lol I liked the active ending. Kept it on a high instead of dragging it out. I did want to see a bit more of Miyoung and Jungkook working out the "how are we gonna build back trust after this blow" aspect...but I was satisfied with how it ended.
LOVED IT RIGHT TO THE END! I admire the way they kept true to the political nature of the drama, while balancing the slice of life elements of the marriage and the AMAZING comedy. The actors did so well. Good chemistry all round I believe.
I love Ohno. I really do. I think he can do anything and he's so aloof so you wouldn't suspect it, but then he soars with whatever he takes seriously. I ADORED him in Maou; didn't think he could pull off something so sinister, and to think that was his first major acting role. LOOOOVE him in his last movie, Mumon - he managed to be (much like his actual self) aloof and lazy looking, BUT threatening as heck (especially when they even hinted that they'd hurt his beloved).
When he does his more comedic characters, it's funny; but he can pull off serious characters too.
