I was hoping that something was lost in translation with this description. Because it seriously gave me the ick. It makes it sound like it's a story about an adult realizing he likes kids..

If I was going to name one that mostly worked for me lately I'd say Gun from Perfect 10 liners.

The "sweet and naive" character is such a trope in a lot of BLs I've watched. And it almost never works for me. To me they almost always come across more like acting like an actual child. I usually end up finding those characters annoying at best or disturbing at worst.

When the logo came up during the intro I said "oh no.." out loud. I'd love it if they proved me wrong, but I'm not that optimistic after episode 1.

I even had time to think "well, at least he didn’t drop the camera".

I watched this after seeing your review (and with your suggestions to watch for free). And I am so pleasantly surprised! I didn’t know dramas made in this format could be this good. Now I'm really in exploring this genre further. Have you seen any other dramas in this format as good as this one?

I think I'll wait to watch until you add content warnings. (If you ever do, no pressure!) Because I was horrified in the first five minutes. And if the rest of the show is similar I think I might want to skip it.

I'm curious to see how they deal with the second couple getting together in this. I struggled with how it was done in the Thai version. In fact, i showed the scene to two non BL watchers asking them to help me feel ok about it. (My husband and sister in law.) And somewhere around Sky walking away with what looks like tear tracks on his cheeks, they were both thoroughly horrified. (It actually initially made my husband sceptical to watching the whole genre in general.)

In my opinion, the actor who plays Joke (War? I'm not super good at remembering names of actors.) Is so good he could almost carry the whole series on his own, questionable plot and all! So I agree with you, and I'm crossing my fingers for another series with these actors.

I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one who feels this show went kinda off the rails. I only see people raving about it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's concerned about the turtle. It's even a pretty big part of the plot, so my attention is drawn to it every single episode.

Having the lights on when going to sleep is a big pet peeve for me! I can get low lighting, but full blaring overhead lights, really?!

I didn't realize the context of the opening until reading this right now.. I assumed they were older!

I stopped watching this show early on, at the point where I felt that I didn't want the characters to end up together. (Because of course i knew they would..)
I was considering giving it another shot, but after reading your review it seems it only gets worse after the point I quit!

I completely agree. I think I was extra disappointed because I was watching it on Gagaoolala so I really expected a BL. I have similar feelings about Soju Bomb.
