I just don't get it.. what exactly is the connection between Xing'anli and the company where ML is working... Like why Xing'anli is so important for ML to get to Headquarters or whatever...

Its more like, the former sword wielder knew about her identity of being a wufeng, that's how he too found out.. later he set a plot by pre-planing and getting her involved to chase infinite heat. She got manipulated and helped him as they had common goal (or as she thought to be)
