Yeah, you got me. I also feel like they shortened it. Maybe if it were 16 episodes long, they would have broken up because of what happened in the past, but then later on got back together since it was all just a misunderstanding. It really bothers me. While I was watching, I first thought the accident had something to do with Yak’s mom passing away. But later on, it turned out she just got sick(Am I right?).
This series was so good, but one thing left unanswered is Wandee's trauma. I thought it would be shown in the last episode, but it wasn't, so what really happened to Dee remains unknown. So I will rate this 9/10 because of that.

I can say she's not that bad, as she also likes the ML, but not to the point where her character becomes toxic (there's no toxic love triangle). If you like the pairing of Ren Jia Lun and Xing Fei, you might find her a little annoying. However, since she helps him a lot, it's understandable why she's so fond of the ML. From what I remember, she doesn’t have a love team (pair) here.
